Digital Domain company VFX used also Houdini for the movie "2012", and other movies for sure, we recognize very well the perfection of the RDB houdini style for each destruction building + fire/smoke in this film ! Except fot tsunami scenes, it is the vfx company SCANLINE who used NAIAD ! but with the flip fluid in Houdini, for sure, we could have the same result !
Now if only video games could largely get their act together and simulate similar levels of destruction (triggered in real-time by the player, not cutscene stuff). And I get it - today's computational power needed to render this stuff in real-time still leaves a lot to be desired... But maybe PlayStation 10 will finally deliver on these promises :P
Hello, this is a compilation of other artists, however I work at a VFX Studio, so you may inquire with me and I will forward your details, simply share your email, discord or whatever I could use to get in touch with you.
@@happyraintf how exactly do you mean this ? I can't follow what you mean by that? Do you mean that alle buildings and stuff need to be able to actually be destroyed ?
@@AbenteuerSchatzsuche What I mean is that games made buildings destructable like this it would change the level design as for where you can explore and how detailed it is.
@@AbenteuerSchatzsuche the reason why there isn’t any crazy destruction in video games is because of the hardware limitations and how expensive these interactions or destructions could be. It would be fucking awesome if this stuff did happen soon though.
Finally a Houdini vfx video that’s not 7 seconds long
Could stay all day watching this
You're more than welcome! :D

@@happyraintf Do you know who did the building destruction @ 2:14 ???
@@RipRecords All of the artists and their respective videos are in the description.
@@happyraintf With all due respect, I'm not finding the one at 2:14, I googled all the artists you listed...
The effect is by Romain Le guillerm
Tutorial please!!
when will we see destructions like these in actual games??? the tech looks so "ready" for some years now yet no game besides battlefield is doing it ?
A lot of the times I believe it is more about the level design rather than the capabilities of the engines in question!

@Happyrain ah I see , yeah sure but it would be something new ... games these days really aren't offering "new" ... nothing with the "wow factor "
