- In this super easy bottle painting tutorial, I will give you step by step instructions to DIY upcycle/recycle your trash by painting this beautiful, purple, blue, & pearl dot mandala art design. Using ONLY a TOOTHPICK, a Q-TIP, AND PENCIL ERASERS as your handmade tools. This is a really cute, fun, & EASY design. Take your mind away from stressors, one dot at a time. I don't know what you mean by color shift paint????
I did the job of painting the bottle, almost to finish the bottle slipped and I grabbed it with my hand with the fresh paint and the job was a disaster. When does this acrylic paint dry? The bottle threw it against some trees of rage and frustration. I think this is not my thing.
Oh no! Don't give up. I'm not sure what kind of paint you're using or your climate but acrylic paint typically dries, to the touch, within anywhere from about a half hour to an hour. I'm sorry that went bad for you, I hope you enjoy the process of the next one you paint and are able to relax again.

I have never heard of the oven part. So as someone just exploring this amazing craft, but who hasn’t even tried it yet, learning about everything involved is important. Is oven baking the paint only necessary on glass? I couldn’t quite hear everything either.

Hi - first, beautiful design and colors. I wanted to leave feedback that will hopefully be helpful for anyone making this project. Please note I used exactly the same paints as what is shown in the video. First, the Blue Peacock I received is not even close to the color shown. Maybe they’ve changed the formulation but just FYI. I used Aqua Moire Pearl which is also Folkart Multisurface. The bottle came out beautiful and all was well until I baked it. I followed the directions exactly but the paint on the inside of the bottle ran in globs and separated from the glass in places. In addition, the White Pearl paint is very thick and even though the paint cured for at least 3 days, there were bubbles that popped up in the middle of the dots where the paint is thicker. I know Lydia mentions the paint can be baked but not sure if she actually baked her bottle. Just wanted to share this info in the hope it will help someone else avoid a ruined project. I will do the project again but will FOR SURE not bake it. Lydia, thanks again for all you do and the great content you share.
Very nice art work. Do you always bake the bottles? Is it always baked @ 350* for 30 minutes? I am afraid that the glass will brake.
