My parents always talked about moving to Mexico after retirement. The time finally came and the day after they retired they were off. What I see is that they live a stress free life. Half the time they don’t need to know what time it is. They have a beautiful nice humble home. They have goats, chickens, dogs , cats. I can see they are so happy they look even younger and most importantly they are so happy to be where they were born. 10 years before they moved they started to upgrade the house and fix what ever needed to be fixed so it can be ready for them. I’m so proud of them they are wonderful people with a beautiful soul. I wish I can post pictures on here. Like you said Victor el dinero dura más y viven mucho más agusto. I never imagined that I would be that one person that had her parents so far but yet so near just a video call away. I wish I can tell them come back!!! 😢 but that would be selfish of me to do so. It makes me happy to see them in a peaceful and a place they love. And visiting is always so exciting but hate the goodbyes, it’s like leaving half of my heart behind 😢. I’m getting emotional just thinking about it lol. I seriously couldn’t imagine them having the same lifestyle here in USA after retirement. ❤

Micael thank you like always for sharing your thoughts and your heart ❤️. I’m glad you happy for your parents although it’s hard to see them as often as you want. I’m sure it’s as hard on them as it’s hard on you. Maybe you can go visit them more often.

@@yeshuaismyredeemer yes I’m going to start visiting more often for sure. A lot has happened in my personal life and in our family that that shook us to the core. It’s hard to find the motivation to do all those things that before got us so excited like when this month would be our trip to el rancho because la fiesta del rancho we celebrate La Virgen de Asunción. The feelings I get personally are very emotional and mixed feelings to take that first step and just go. I want to go by the end of this year for sure. I know I’m missing a lot. You and your familia made a great decision! I bought my place in Lake Chapala 6 years ago (it was a rental first) and I finally left the U.S. in late 2021. I still go back to see friends & family but I do not miss the insanity of California at all and have definitely made the transition and really start to miss Mexico when gone too long. Great food, great people! Tons of open space and nature around. More options, less restrictions. A general sense of freedom and enjoyment of the everyday simple pleasures in life. Mexico still has very strong family values and in general, people connect and help each other out more. No place is perfect, and you need to go into things with your eyes open. However it seems there is less belief in "stress", people in Mexico know how to have fun. ;) Enjoy! These are very special memories you're creating!

As a Canadian who is against my government’s policies and control over our population I have made the decision to relocate to Mexico because of the Christian values and the Mexican culture, we sit in our hotel and watch the families and kids play and come together, Canada has lost this value. In Canada they have banned all news on social media platforms, it’s a slow communist regime takeover and it’s driving millions to flee! We thank you and others for showing your country’s beauty

Fellow Canadian here and I agree 100% Canada is turning into a communist country. The Trudeau government is corrupt, criminal and incompetent and no one hold them accountable. My brother moved to Mexico and loves it. He said if he didn't have to go back to Canada for family, he would never go back. Canada is dying. It's not the Great white north that it used to be.

As a Canadian, I'd suggest a little caution in making/believing blanket statements based on hyperbole. For example, Canada has not 'banned all news on social media' - Mr. (super rich) Zukerberg has decided that Meta will stop posting some Cdn news because he doesn't want to compensate the people doing the work. I know Canada has a lot of issues (so don't come at me) but I haven't seen any signs (in reputable media sources or real life) of a communist takeover nor a mass exodus. JS

Be like Paul, he boldly declared for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes. I understand about the united states. I want to move to Mexico and is currently looking for a location. But I'm from California also. Yeah it's expensive and I understand why. Capitalism, supply and demand. People want to be here and that drives the prices up. There are 30 million people in the Los Angeles area and you new taxes for the infrastructure to hold that many people. It's needed. I do think the rich should get taxed a little more. Pay their share. And no I don't care, I'm not rich and I won't cry for them. But I do want to buy in Mexico, I want a region that isn't dry. And I don't want area that is greatly humid.
