Gene is the ultimate badass and demon on stage, but seeing this show brings tears of joy to my eyes seeing how much of a soft, loveable guy Gene is and how much his wife Shannon and his kids Nick and Sophie are so grounded and loveable as well. I hope nothing but the best for all of them 🤗👍

I have to agree with him and the ceramic mugs. Those are ok for at home where you can heat them up before you use them and they hold the heat better. We do get picky about our coffee lol.

Generally Gene is right about how he has coffee in a paper cup than a ceramic one like Gene said paper cups keeps the coffee hotter which ceramic cups cool down the coffee faster. I Should know because I'm on my sixth cup of coffee and it's already lukewarm

No matter for all Gene's riches, he still has a bit of old poor Jew left in him, hence the paper cup in the most expensive restaurant in town! Gene you still haven't forgotten your roots, that's pretty cool if you ask me!
As a musician myself I can tell you that KISS music is more complicated than you think it is (certainly hard to play correctly) and having sdeen them 20 times at least, they do NOT say the same things between songs. However, when you have flashpots and flame you have to choreograpgh your movements to avoid injury. Ask Metallica. Hetfield was burned badly. All this is to say, if you don't like a band, that's cool. But to say they are talentless just because YOU don't like them is wrong.

Gotta say - he's spot on with that paper cup thing - The regular cups do absorb the heat and cools the coffee too quick. Great one Gene!

Actually, if you pay attention, Nick is the only one who seems to take it for granted. Sophie moved out, lives her own life and does her own thing. Nick is very much like Gene and Sophie carved out her own niche.

Yeah, I've seen Rush about a dozen times. I grew up in the 70's so yeah...I've heard of them. And I belive your story about talking to G. Lee. Really,,,, everyone who "wins" a contest gets an hour long sitdown with the artist (NOT). And while I love Rush, that doesn't mean music has to be "advanced". It can also be FUN. Did you know that KISS and RUsh toured together and respect each other? Didn't Geddy tell you how much they LOVE KIss?

@DWcriticism When KISStarted they were not "bubblegum" and it wasn't little kids that liked them. They were loud, wore leather and were dangerous. Only later in the 70's did the record companies smell money and change them into a "commercial" act. Of course, they split up right after.

Nonsense. Tell that story to Rush. And the REAL KISS ended in 1978, right about the time they "sold out". Now I liked the other versions, in fact Animalize and Revenge are two of my favorite Kiss albums. But notice that that was AFTER they gave up the disco bubblegum. And to be honset, it's just not the same without Peter and Ace even if their replacements are much better musicians.
Judging from your attitude, I'd suspect not much past ABBA and the Captain and Tenille got played at the parties YOU went to. The parties I went to, Kiss Alive and Destroyer were REQUIRED.
If all you base your opinions on is how complicated the music is you know nothing about Rock n Roll. Chuck Berry is the KING of Rock n Roll and he only uses three chords. But tell us how "Johnny B Good" sucks will you? Had you bothered to ask Geddy what he though of KISS you would have found out how much he respects and likes them. Maybe you missed the part of "beyond the Lighted Stage" where Rush talks abut how much they love KISS and vice versa.

Yeah, I went to concerts too. Did you ever SEE KISS in the 70's? Bet you didn't. It was THE SHOW to see, and had you seen it you would realize how many bands after copied what they did. I too have seen many of those bands you mentioned,Including Floyd 77( Soldier Field, 84Mile high Stadium)) athough EW&F and Anita baker wouldn't make me drool. Half of them you can't even SPELL! LOL. It's Steve MILLER, and Paul SIMON genius. I saw McCartney in the Wings over America tour. (Chicago Stadium)
