Can you show a person shirtless? Like, if im advertising my husband wearing a hat and he just so happens to be shirtless? Or a person shirtless in a pool? How about advertising youself wearing clothes...even undergarments? Also, if im wanting to share my storefront or a product from my storefront on fb or tikok and i want to talk about it, am i allowed to do so? If not, how am i supposed to direct people to my storefront to gain followers and sales?
I got accepted to earn onsite commissions in Dec 2021 and that first month I earned just over $800. It’s mostly dependent on the products you choose and the videos you create. Good luck!
Another quick question: If I post my amazon storefront link on say any site any where. And someone clicks on it there then goes to my store on amazon, then from my store goes somewhere else on amazon and buys something within 24 hours I get that credit or commission off that sale if qualified? I do have a store front and are an Influencer with onsite commissions.
Appreciate the video! Is it normal to see an initial surge, then have a drop off on purchases/commissions? I assume it is just a matter of adding more videos? I like that you have provided reasons some videos may get sidelined. Thanks!
It all depends. Definitely keep adding videos as I speculate the more active you are in your account with Amazon the more they will help you with visibility. I always notice increased commissions shortly after I upload a batch of new videos.
So I've watched a few of your videos and you've mentioned only having one product linked for each video. Would you mind clarifying? So I have a bamboo drying rack and it doesn't have any branding on it. When I look on Amazon they have about 5 drying racks just like this from different brands. Also, thank you so much for your videos, I appreciate your honesty, not trying to game the system, and the fact that you tell people that this isn't passive sit-back-and-forget-it income.
Yes, that's correct. You cannot upload the same video 5 times in order to tag 5 different product listings. However, you can create a new video for each one and upload 5 separate videos if you want to tag them all. However, there is usually one or 2 winners out of those 5, and I use software like JungleScout to determine that. Thanks so much for your kind words!

Thank you so much for the excellent, sound and thorough content. Question -- Do you suggest thumbnails? Using consistent style with fonts and colors? Or is this too much like personal branding? Thanks in advance!
Thank you for your kind words! Re: Thumbnails - I really don't think it matters as much as it does here on UA-cam, BUT I have seen people move up in the video slots who have strategic thumbnails with arrows in the right place or their face in the thumbnail. I personally use a screenshot from the video with my face in it (if I show my face in the video) but it's hard to really know because Amazon give us ZERO metrics on thumbnail clickthrough. Go figure!
My first 3 videos got declined. It seemed like a video quality issue? What are those requirements? Also does it matter if we orient the camera landscape or portrait?
Orientation doesn’t matter as much as the content of your videos. It also helps to stay active on the social media account you were approved with while Amazon is reviewing your first 3 videos.
Hi, I haven't been able to find an answer for this and hoping you'll be able to help with. Are influencers allowed to use the photos on Amazon for graphics on IG? I've seen plenty of influencers do this, so curious on if its allowed with amazon influencer vs affiliates? Thanks
A lot of people do this but it’s a gray area…I’ve had Amazon tell some people it was ok while others they told not to do it. I personally do not bc it’s not my content, it’s the seller’s content, and I’d rather be safe than sorry!
Thank you for this! Super helpful information! I'm new to the Influencer Program and still learning the rules. If I'm reviewing a smart TV and the screen shows all the media app logos such as "Netflix, UA-cam, Etc." is that allowed in a video? I'm so scared to have an Amazon Don't in my video and have my account shut down!
What about screenshots of product pages/checkout carts? I’m in the AIP and use Instagram and TikTok to promote. I’ve gotten warning emails re: screenshots due to trademark issues and I truly don’t understand why my account is flagged vs. others that use the same method. How do I avoid this warning but also show the products/prices? Thank you so much!
This is such a hard one because Amazon doesn't want us using their logos and branding but does want us to sell their products both on and off Amazon....they're so unclear sometimes (most of the time!). From my understanding, you can use screenshots in your marketing off Amazon (like TikTok, IG, etc.) but don't include the Amazon logo or any of their trademarks in the screenshot. Definitely don't use Amazon screenshots for on-Amazon content but there are strategic ways to show pricing off Amazon without showing their logo. Feel free to send me examples if you want a better explanation! hello@mastersofmarketplace.com Hope that at least helps a little!
Great tips Kathleen! 🌸Thank you.😊 I am wondering how long after you upload do videos start getting views? Just a ball park, is it a day or a week or a month? How many videos a week is a good goal to aim for to make $10k a month? This is all so interesting to me.
Great questions! After uploading a video, it usually takes 12-24 hours for approval and then another 48 hours to appear on the product listing page. You should start seeing views within 5-7 days after uploading the video, definitely. If not then it might be a lower selling item OR a competitive listing to get good placement on the top of the page in that video carousel. I try to do 10-20 videos per week to maintain my $10K/month earnings but it all depends on the product, price of the item and sometime when I go do checking and maintenance on my other videos, that's all I have to do for that week bc I start seeing the clicks and earnings go up without adding anything new.
@@kathleenkobel You are the best! I very much appreciate you getting back to me.🌻😊 so you have to continuously add content? The past ones just fall off or rotate?🤔 I just don’t get that part so much. It seems to me that it should continue to scale, but you’re saying you just maintain by continuously adding new reviews?
Yes, sometimes but not all the time older videos will fall off. This happens if new influencer videos come in or sometimes even if a product goes out of stock. You never know, which is why I have a system to check the older videos regularly, especially for the high priced items that sell well for me.
Best video I’ve seen on the DOs and DONTs. I’m in the beginning stages of influencer program. I’m eligible so now I got to make the 3 videos to send for approval. Any tips??
Thank you and congrats! My best tips are to do 1-2 minute horizontal videos focusing on only one product per video. Check out this video for a detailed walkthrough: ua-cam.com/video/gBg49ujXluw/v-deo.htmlsi=3ET2lKnnCHRp0nxK
My sweet spot is 1-2 minutes but I'd recommend making it as long as you need to, especially for the first 3 videos. Give it your best and focus on the features and benefits of the products. Good luck!
This is so helpful, thank you so much!! I was wondering, does it matter what your social media account looks like when you first apply? I've never liked social media, so I'm currently building a facebook business page with my small business featuring my artwork, and trying to gain as many likes and followers as I can get. I've heard people being accepted with only 40 followers and a somewhat active account. What would you recommend is best? 100 followers at least?
Instagram is not really a super power of mine but the way I do it is I link to an idea list that contains the item I'm promote on IG. That way people end up on my influencer storefront that already has the earning disclaimer and they can choose the item they say me promote or something else on the list. Hope that helps!
Can you explain more how to make it clear you’re an Amazon influencer. I don’t ever see any Amazon influencers disclose this all they say is “shop my storefront” 🙏🏼
If you direct people to your storefront, it says right on there “earns commission” so that is enough disclosure needed per Amazon and the FTC. If you use an affiliate link then you have to disclose bc it won’t have the earnings disclaimer on there automatically.
Thank you so much for this! What about using the same video for multiple different products. EX: uploading the same video and tagging a different product in that video each time?
You're so welcome - thank you for watching! To answer your question, I wouldn't. Either tag multiple products in your one video (if it makes sense to) or create different videos for each product. I like to create one video per product and then don't typically run into this issue. Hope that helps!

🎯 Question. When does the unpaid balance going to our bank account? The first of the month or near the end of the month? I already waited sixty days So now it's this paytime. Does it get put in my bank first of the month or near the end of the month?
Amazon pays commissions at the end of the month for the commissions earned 2 months prior. You should get paid at the end of October for money earned the month of August. Hope that helps!
Yes we have an account in Canada and the us but Canada really doesn’t have videos. It’s hard to get traction so we are probably letting our Canadian store front go.
Awesome video!!! I am currently on Amazon Seller Central, Merch By Amazon, and KDP. My next goal is to start my Amazon Influencer account. Is it okay to do Amazon product reviews on my UA-cam channel as an Amazon associate and build my channel subs before applying for the influencer program?
That is AWESOME! I love all the Amazon income streams you have! And yes, you can definitely start doing product reviews, post on UA-cam and then use that channel to apply for the Amazon Influencer Program. Good luck!
When posting a link (IG story) to an amazon product your allowed to nickname the link. Can you use the word Amazon? Like "Amazon - JVC earbuds" Also do you add a title "affiliate link" above the actual link?
Always disclose when you are posting an affiliate link to ensure you stay compliant with the FTC rules. I'd keep the word Amazon out of it if you can, just to protect yourself so they can't come in and claim you were using their image or likeness.
I have 2 questions. How many followers do i need to have to be accepted for influencer program Should tag all relavent products shown in my videos or just stick to only one e.g. i have video regarding ice cube mold should I tag all product which match with my video or just one?
My philosophy is to stick with one product tagged per video. But if you are showing a bunch of items then you can tag up to 10 products per video, but it’ll likely only get placed on Inspire. Amazon doesn’t tell you how many followers are needed to qualify for the influencer program but I have seen that it’s more about engagement as opposed to the number of followers. Hope that helps!
Thanks for this video, I am so confused with the disclosures. So yes on my amazon storefront it says earns commissions, but should I also have something on my linktree or write/say something in each post for IG and Tik Tok?
Hey. I’ve heard people making social media accounts and then buying followers and then not really continuing to post on that account. Will that get your account shut down ? Thank you
Hello! Madem, I have a question. I'm confused between the Amazon Influencer and Associate programs. Which one is better for generating more leads? If someone goes to the product page through my influencer storefront under these conditions, does the influencer program generate a cookie for 24 hours and he add to cart the product does cookie duration extand to 90 days or does only the associates program has cookie feature ?.
Neither program will generate leads for you, as those are Amazon's customers and they will not give you that data. However, both influencer and associates have a 24 hour affiliate cookie, so you can use either one. The benefit of influencer is the onsite commission opportunity where you don't have to drive external traffic to Amazon in order to get your content in front of potential buyers. Hope that helps!
Nope! You can talk about the features and benefits of the products and why you purchased them instead of doing an unboxing video. I think those formats are more helpful to customers anyway!
If you're posting on Amazon US, I'd recommend reviewing in English because people who can't understand what you're saying will be less likely to purchase from you. Amazon Influencer now has programs in many other countries though (not yet shoppable videos) so might want to apply in your native country, too!
Ok, not too sure if you have info/help about this: last year I was bringing in several hundred pounds a month, now practically zero. I'm going to go back and do just 1 item per video and try that. (I'm in the uk and we have FAR less than in America)
Hello can you tell me the average amount that you can do , i am in France so i think it will be the same as the uK. If you don’t want it totally can understand. Have a nice day 😊
@jeyreign I add several on my influencer homepage videos. If it's a specific review, then just 1. I'm going to just go back to one per post, even on my influencer homepage.
It really depends on your strategy and the products you've created for. One item per video is the best way to increase your chances of getting shown on the product listing page on Amazon, which in my opinion is the best spot for conversions.
Have you seen the glitches on the Amazon influencer program like all the product videos dissappear? Or am I the only one seeing this today and yesterday?
Oh yes, I’ve been seeing that on and off for weeks. Amazon is always testing so I try not to let it bother me too much bc I know it’ll always be changing.
Mine are blurry on the site for the first several seconds and then clears up to the way it should be... So far 2 review rejections of the initial uploads 😢
As an Amazon influencer when we create content are we allowed to say if the product is on sale (50%) and/or the price? Everyone seems to do it, but I feel like we're not supposed to do it.
Definitely not on the content for Amazon! Don’t mention anything about price at all. It’s ok on your socials but Amazon won’t approve content if the price is referenced.
I’m confused about this one because I have seen a lot of influencers saying : “everything under $30” , or in theirs stories they put for example : 20% off today so I don’t know 🤷🏻♀️
I didn't know about the barcode rule. Do I need to go back and delete those videos that have a barcode in it? If it's in there at all, it's a quick flash of it while I'm opening a box or something. Will they just eventually take off those videos or will they close my account?
Don’t worry, I doubt they will close your account! If Amazon sees the barcodes you may find the videos rejected now that were approved before. Or they will just rotate them out as new videos come in. I’ve seen it both ways but typically if they see a barcode in a video now they will reject it and you can edit and resubmit.
Yes it is! You can be an influencer in Germany but can also apply for the US program if you want to do the shoppable videos and onsite commission placement. Good luck!
Hmmm, not sure about that one. I personally wouldn’t because I prefer my content to be real and authentic but I’ve seen others doing it. If you were the customer watching would it bother you? Or would you buy anyway? Depends on your preference imo until Amazon makes a rule about it!
About 550. I’m very strategic about my product selection and what I make videos for. Will be making a lot more in the coming weeks to maximize Fall Prime Day and the holidays!
Amazon determines placement of the videos once you upload BUT your best bet to get on Inspire is to model the videos you see on there - short form, vertical videos that highlight a series of useful products.
What is your instagram iam facing and issue with my amazon influencer - my total earning decreasing day by day the amount which i earned coming back to 0 so means i had 90 usd in total and now i have 30 usd in total
One thing you could check out…If you were previously an Amazon Associate and are now an Amazon Influencer, you may have 2 store IDs. After about 3-4 weeks I was only seeing $6 in revenue. Then I watched a video where they explained this and said you need to toggle over to the other account. It turns out I was only seeing revenue from the Associate account. When I toggled over to the other store ID (should be connected to Influencer acct) I had over $270. I was using my Influencer ID link so that’s where the $ was being earned. I think there are multiple ways you can toggle over to your other ID. Basically wherever you see your ID (often top right of page), click on it and see if it shows another ID. Click on the other ID to switch over. I’ll go to my account now and see if I can find the step by step, the come back and comment again if I do.
OK try this. Go to the App. (I have iPhone & ipad so not sure if this works the same on other devices). Click your little person icon at the bottom, the Your Storefront, then See Reporting (top). From here look at top right. You will either see the 3 vertical dots or “Store ID: ----“ Click there & see if there’s another ID to toggle over to. I hope this helps!
Nope! Don’t do it. Anything that directs Amazon customers off its site is a violation (aside from the social links they allow us to post on our storefront). Hope that helps!
@@kathleenkobel it helps thanks a lot. Also should i make videos for products which has lots of competition but it sells thousands a month do i have any chance for rotation?

If I'm reviewing a smart TV and the screen shows all the media app logos such as "Netflix, UA-cam, Etc." is that allowed in a video? I'm so scared to have an Amazon Don't in my video and have my account shut down!
Glad it was helpful! The logos should be ok, but I will usually open to an Amazon screen in that instance so they tend to like it more. 😊
@@kathleenkobel Great, thank you! :)
I had 1300 followers on TikTok, and I was turned down.
Engagement is even more important than followers. Work on growing that and you will get in!
Do not show screenshots of dashboard is great.
It's a very important one!
You mentioned a FB group in one of your videos. Is that only for people who have purchased your course?
I have a free FB group with a great supportive community: facebook.com/groups/663758048939978
Loved this!!!!
Thank you so much!
Just got approved. How long do the videos have to be? Or does it not matter the length just that you have all the info on it is main thing.
I'm new to the system I just saw your thanks for ideas
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching!
Just curious how has it been after 3 months?
Great video. Thank you. Can you provide some suggestions how to properly share products using IG stories. Thank you.
Instagram is not really a super power of mine but the way I do it is I link to an idea list that contains the item I'm promote on IG. That way people end up on my influencer storefront that already has the earning disclaimer and they can choose the item they say me promote or something else on the list. Hope that helps!
@@kathleenkobel …. Thank you so much. 😊
Great video
Thank you! And thanks for watching!
Gotcha thank you! When you disclose your affiliate link, may you provide an example of what you would say?
Thank you so much for this! What about using the same video for multiple different products. EX: uploading the same video and tagging a different product in that video each time?
You're so welcome - thank you for watching!
To answer your question, I wouldn't. Either tag multiple products in your one video (if it makes sense to) or create different videos for each product. I like to create one video per product and then don't typically run into this issue. Hope that helps!
Thanks so much for your reply! Yes, that def helps 🙏@@kathleenkobel
Great to hear!
Hi can I mention the name of the product on my first 3 video ?
Yes, absolutely! Name is great just not price. 👍
For the bounties, if your friend or family member goes to your storefront on their own and does a baby registry for example is that OK or no?
Can i use the same video to promote products on UA-cam?
Should I record in horizontal or vertical?
Yes you can! I do mostly horizontal but Amazon likes vertical these days, too.
What are the rules for just posting a pic on amazon store front that you own, not a video? Would appreciate your input. Thanks.
You can upload pictures that are your own to Amazon! Just like the videos! 👍
Kathleen do you do Amazon live ? If so I’d like to watch one of your presentations. I respect your work! Thanks in advance. Have a great Sunday.
@@kathleenkobel Thank you. Good news. I got the direct deposit yesterday. God bless.
Anybody here apply to multiple countries at the same time or is that even possible?
Great question - not sure but let’s see if anyone else has.
Like "Amazon - JVC earbuds"
Also do you add a title "affiliate link" above the actual link?
Always disclose when you are posting an affiliate link to ensure you stay compliant with the FTC rules. I'd keep the word Amazon out of it if you can, just to protect yourself so they can't come in and claim you were using their image or likeness.
I have 2 questions. How many followers do i need to have to be accepted for influencer program
Should tag all relavent products shown in my videos or just stick to only one e.g. i have video regarding ice cube mold should I tag all product which match with my video or just one?
My philosophy is to stick with one product tagged per video. But if you are showing a bunch of items then you can tag up to 10 products per video, but it’ll likely only get placed on Inspire. Amazon doesn’t tell you how many followers are needed to qualify for the influencer program but I have seen that it’s more about engagement as opposed to the number of followers. Hope that helps!
Thanks for this video, I am so confused with the disclosures. So yes on my amazon storefront it says earns commissions, but should I also have something on my linktree or write/say something in each post for IG and Tik Tok?
It doesn’t hurt to be extra thorough when it comes to the disclosures. Better safe than sorry!
Thank you
Welcome!
Hey. I’ve heard people making social media accounts and then buying followers and then not really continuing to post on that account. Will that get your account shut down ? Thank you
I wouldn’t do it. If it sounds unethical then Amazon probably has a rule against it.
@@kathleenkobel if I don't want on site commission in this case wich one is batter for me ? And Wich one has long cookie duration?
In the videos that I publish on Amazon, do I have to unpack/unbox the product? , because half of the products I have at home I don't have their boxes
Nope! You can talk about the features and benefits of the products and why you purchased them instead of doing an unboxing video. I think those formats are more helpful to customers anyway!
@@kathleenkobel this program it's available in Spain?
Hey is it compulsory to review in english language or can we do in our local language?
If you're posting on Amazon US, I'd recommend reviewing in English because people who can't understand what you're saying will be less likely to purchase from you. Amazon Influencer now has programs in many other countries though (not yet shoppable videos) so might want to apply in your native country, too!
So basically you have to keep buying stuff ? What if you cant resell it? This program is seriously feeding overconsumption by rewarding it 😲🙄🙄🙄🙄
You can easily get free products from agents and sellers. Many influencers get paid on top of getting free things. 👍
Have a nice day 😊
How did you do back then i thought you HAd to do 1 item per video ?
@jeyreign I add several on my influencer homepage videos. If it's a specific review, then just 1. I'm going to just go back to one per post, even on my influencer homepage.
@@LoriAnnMunn okk thank you
It really depends on your strategy and the products you've created for.
@mastersofmarketplace I wish they would stop testing it so much when it's working lol... oh well I'm just glad I'm not the only one seeing this
Mine are blurry on the site for the first several seconds and then clears up to the way it should be...
I’ve seen it both ways but typically if they see a barcode in a video now they will reject it and you can edit and resubmit.
is this available in germany?
Yes it is! You can be an influencer in Germany but can also apply for the US program if you want to do the shoppable videos and onsite commission placement. Good luck!
Thanks, indeed I was accepted for the US program :) One more question: Is it allowed to use AI text to speech for the voice over?@@kathleenkobel
Do you think i can make the videos with the Ai Voice
Hmmm, not sure about that one. I personally wouldn’t because I prefer my content to be real and authentic but I’ve seen others doing it. If you were the customer watching would it bother you? Or would you buy anyway? Depends on your preference imo until Amazon makes a rule about it!
Can I post vertical videos for my first 3 videos instead of horizontal?
Yes, you can if that’s your preference. Amazon likes them both.
What happens if they approve 1 of my videos but not the second one? I only made 2 so far out of 3.
They will need to approve all 3 in order to unlock onsite commission. If one doesn't get approved then delete it and submit a new one!
How many videos do you have in your shop?
About 550. I’m very strategic about my product selection and what I make videos for. Will be making a lot more in the coming weeks to maximize Fall Prime Day and the holidays!
How do we get to video in the Inspire section I can't figure it out.
Amazon determines placement of the videos once you upload BUT your best bet to get on Inspire is to model the videos you see on there - short form, vertical videos that highlight a series of useful products.
@@kathleenkobelVertical videos? I thought media companies preferred horizontal (landscape) format. Please clarify. Thanks -Elizabeth
What is your instagram iam facing and issue with my amazon influencer - my total earning decreasing day by day the amount which i earned coming back to 0 so means i had 90 usd in total and now i have 30 usd in total
Keep posting more videos!
Can I work on Amazon influencer it Pakistan
I don’t think it’s available there yet but Amazon is rolling out new things all the time!
I just got approved on September 1st today is the 15th I’ve only earned about 7$ is this normal? I have about 20 videos so I’ll keep uploading
It all depends but keep adding those videos and you will see your sales go up up up!
@@kathleenkobel thank you so much
One thing you could check out…If you were previously an Amazon Associate and are now an Amazon Influencer, you may have 2 store IDs.
Can i put my email address or my affiliate website on the storefront banner? Is it allowed to share?
