I see where you're coming from. I am an old school myself. These techniques you see in this video is more for sport taekwondo using the electronic chest gear and head gear. If this is was a street fight, then it will be a different taekwondo and if this was a sport taekwondo with no electronic gears then old school will work best. Because this is for the electronic gear/new school Taekwondo, this technique is used.
