If any Member of Congress wants to be taken seriously. They need to turn the C-span cameras around so we citizens can see the massively packed chamber listening with wrapped attention to every word. And if they want to cut spending, cut their own office expenditure first by 50% and return the taxpayers money to the treasury. Blasting an empty chamber with hot air is not doing your job. Go find some members, and START ACTUALLY DOING SOMETHING!!!!

- Lower taxes
- Innovate and produce a lot more goods and services to promote economic growth
- Cut from mandatory spending (healthcare, social security, etc)
- Impose congressional term limits
- There’s another solution too but this comment will likely be removed if I say it. Frankly, none of the above things can be done unless it’s done first.
If we don’t start doing these things, this Republic (or what’s left of it) WILL END when the interest payed on the debt we’re creating becomes too much to make payments on.
As we can see, the vast majority of Congress does not have the resolve to meaningfully solve this problem because they’ll be hated by the masses (to put it lightly). Likewise, the public doesn't understand the gravity of the situation we will ALL one day be facing whether we like it or not. It seems to be only a matter of ‘when’ now.
But Jesus Christ is bigger than all these problems which is why I remain hopeful. My hope is in him, not the government.

A lot of money could be freed from medicare by simply promoting healthy diet instead of whatever the heck FDA is doing. Majority of illnesses, diabetes being most common, come from carb addiction.

I used to think being able to see everything with very foggy and sometimes unreliable lenses was a terrible punishment. I guess being able to see better, in Congress, and dealing with morons and unable to change anything would be even more of a suffering. But, at least those get their name in the history books!
