@ - Happy New Year my friend. Is the ASUS ProArt Z890 the best motherboard for Creators right now or is it worth waiting for some other brands/models or hit the market?
Yeah I don't understand the microSD card slot either. Never heard of anybody using it ... Maybe like GoPro or insta360 users ? Can't think of anybody else and on the other hand if laptop is for creatives SD is essential. For me it's a deal breaker
It seems that the performance testing was done with the MBP unplugged, while the PX was plugged. We can then only estimate the performance gap between them if both were brought to the same floor... and while on a subject of performance, thermal performance comes to mind. Mobile graphic cards on Windows laptops are notorious for poor thermal performance., and such a small 13 inch body and slim profile provide little hope that even performance mentioned in this review is sustainable in both usage per charge and even more importantly how loud it gets on even modest load and how long it can go like that.
I bought the Px13 and have a quick question. In Task Manager > Performance > AMD Radeon GPU, the dedicated GPU memory is always around 260/288 MB, even with no programs running. I was wondering if this is normal, probably it not alot 288 mb. The NVIDIA RTX 4060 stays at 0.
if you dont game, just take a Mac air, it destroy any Win laptop unplugged (what you do with laptop most of the time)... until X Elite support eGPU and Win Arm support more apps.
I got a PX13 as my first Windows computer after two decades with Macs. A seriously no-nonsense laptop. At first I considered the 2-in-1 a gimmick but because the laptop shipped with a pen I use the feature on daily basis thanks to infinite canvas software like Concepts. It plays games great with its 4060 on my 165Hz monitor. looks great too.
One thing people never talk about. Mac's use Gamma 1.9 and have a complete color shift compared to other monitors. Makes color editing a nightmare. Apple always has to be the weird kid and mess things up to stand out.
how/when are we gonna know if this will happen? i was super excited and hoping to see it at ces 2025 and was disappointed. the only reason i dont have it at home is the 60hz
I have been using my PX for about 2 weeks during travel. it is OK but it has been annoying too. half the time it wont wake up after sleep. the laptop will get stuck on the ProArt logo and I had to force shutdown and try again. Launching FIFA 25 makes the whole laptop reboot. I Am still not sure why. I will try removing the Nvidia App -for disclaimer mine is the 4050 model.
@@friedrichranada7133 thanks. I sold it last week but I were to own one again, I will check. a model with the just announced AI Max chip should be awesome.
I’ve been a life long Windows user and I just sold an Asus G15 to get a MacBook. That laptop was TERRIBLE and dealing with Asus was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a company. Asus has a reputation for selling bad products and screwing their customers. I strongly suggest that anyone considering buying from them to look that up and too really think about that decision.
Once again you review OVERPRICED products that the AVERAGE person cannot afford. Should you keep on this road, I'll simply UNSUB, because what you offer will NEVER fit in my fixed, limited budget. I'm SO TIRED of Elitists and YES, YOU are an Elitist! Cheers from the Oil Patch in Central WY, USA
Welcome back Lauri.
Thank you.

Agreed!
Don't use Speedometer to test web performance; it mostly favors Apple's WebKit. Use anything other than that. like jetstream web benchmark
you talked about the drop in performance when unplugged for the cpu but what is the drop in gpu when unplugged?
masssive drop
Lol Tim Cooked is impressed for sure!

As long as the apps can utilize the RTX 4070, the PX13 will win every time.
Intraframes codecs are not just ProRes, it's also DNxHR, DNxHD and Cineform...

@stxrmyrl509 I've been digging around too but no announcement yet. Probably not until spring with summer release like last year?
I loved the intro.😂
Do you have a video on how you do your videos? I use premiere pro

Wow, how did you get Tim Apple?
🤣🤣🤣
OH, he's my pal 😂
@ Awesome 😉
lol😅
Can you upgrade the ram and ssd of px13
2230 ssd so it will only go to 2tb and the speed is lower than 2280, but yes its upgradeable but the ram isn’t
No Thunderbolt on the ProArt = dealbreaker for me.
it has two USB4 ports.
There's no Thunderbolt on AMD :(
@@theTechNotice Do they make an Intel version with TB ports?

its not a gaming laptop, 60hz is still great.

Its aimed at creative professionals who rely on colour accuracy. More accurate colours = less refresh rate. Not everything is G@MMinG.
