- Here's a bit of a weird style I've never done before. A lot of those weird sounds are real recordings of things in my house, heavily edited and distorted as a bit of a sound design test for myself.

Commissioner here. So this was one of the first DB ideas I ever came up with, long before I started thinking through how the battle would actually work instead of just slapping two characters together based on connections, and it shows because this is a very weird one to analyze.
In terms of raw stats and damage potential, Junko wins so hard it’s not even funny. It’s debatable whether the Sean units could contend even with the weaker mass-produced Monokumas from UDG, much less a proper Junko-controlled unit. At most, I could see Delta taking out a small handful with the various heavy explosives and booby traps he employs, particularly the manufacturing room bomb, but he’s going to run out of viable traps long before Junko runs out of Monokumas. On top of that, they’re fully mechanical, so his big last-ditch trump card of Radical-6 isn’t going to do any good against them.
So if Delta loses in power, speed, durability, and numbers, what advantages could he possibly have? Well… a quantum supercomputer that lets him calculate every possible timeline in advance, an interdimensional transporter that can send an additional duplicate of him to whatever timeline he wants, and his single biggest win-con: Mind Hacking. As soon as he gets Junko into his range, the fight’s over - he can just force her to shut down the Monokumas and kill her at his leisure. And while we don’t know the exact limit of his range, it’s definitely pretty damn big - at bare minimum, it’s enough to cover the entire Dcom bunker.
With that in mind, the matchup hinges less on stats and more on whether Delta, with full knowledge of every possible way the fight could go and his various esoteric gizmos, can survive the far more powerful Monokuma horde long enough to manipulate Junko into stepping into Mind Hacking range. And given he only needs to find a single timeline where he wins, and the transporter gives him a major opportunity to catch Junko off guard from a totally unexpected vector… massive stat difference or not, I’m inclined to give it to him. Which is unfortunate, because I like Junko as a villain a hell of a lot more than Delta… but I guess sometimes, life is simply unfair.
You forget 3 Major factor.
The Biggest one being Brainwashing tech. Just cause you hop timelines and have mind control tech, doesn't mean your mind can't be corrupted.
€2 remember that Junko isn't really a tech person or a general, her greatest asset is her analytical mind. She sees clear patterns in the world, it was enough to even overcome Komaeda. Even Naegi with his own version of super luck could have very easily died. And did in fact die in multiple timelines, despite luck literally being on his side and Junko's predictive ability was crippled due to the chaos she herself caused. And she, in the end very intentionally killed herself. I can totally see Junko just letting herself loose just to experience despair. But if she is totally focused on ending you, per Death Battle rules, that's a different story. And Junko isn't really below foul play considering how Chiaki died.
I think Junko would even be able to figure out timeline hopping happening and create countermeasures.
3 is iffy, but it's the Ultimate Lucky student and Monaca. If we're talking the peak of their power, Junko should have Komaeda as her brainwashed slave and Monaca as a comrade that could potentially hack esoteric tech. With Luck on Monacas side she should be able to pull it off.
Just wanted to say that this matchup is goated, I really love Zero Escape, and I'm glad it got the rep it needed (the Morphogenetic Sorrow segment gave me chills).
Also, it would've been a much simpler debate if Delta had access the 'jumps' like his father and sister.
All because of a snail....
Excuse me, can you please 🙏 bring back death battle: crash and burn I don’t care what you do with it either make every master of it or make a re-upload it I really just want to see this song again I was sad when the song got copyright strike😭😢 that is all
Counter Argument; If Junko DOES get access to the Monokuma's, there's no scenario where she'd lower her guard enough to *get* close. Her true talent is Ultimate Analyst, remember? Even if she can't technically figure out Mind Hacking, she probably WOULD gather that he wants her closer to him. The hard part about putting Junko in Death Battles is that you kinda have to give her an army for it to truly cover ALL her bases.
MY MOTIVES ARE VERY COMPLEX
And my character isn’t
The same energy of 'my pwan is gweat'
All of ours are, little buddy
Very funny coincidence that this ended up coming 2 days after the release of the trailer for Hundred Line: a game where both Kodaka and Uchikoshi (Danganronpa and Zero Escape's creators respecitvely) are collaborating for it's creation. Not that this would be known at the time of comission, so it's a bit funny (that said, what was known is they were both collabing for a game that had no title or trailer until the Nintendo Direct 2 days ago, and that they're both friends who founded Too Kyo Games together)
We call that the DB curse

(99 deaths later) That moment when Delta realize did junko always have freckles?
wait, but Delta can't jump, can he?
The girl who ended the world out of boredom vs the man who ended the world over a snail. In all seriousness Delta while the weaker on paper only needs to win in one timeline to win, Junko would need to avoid being mind hacked which Delta is shown to be really good at and I think the Sean clones might be stronger than people give them credit for, still he's outnumbered and Junko could almost certainly turn most of his stuff against him especially if she just photocopies herself into every timeline which lets face it, is something she'd do. Still love the idea of two evil murder game masterminds going at each other though.
Wow, that’s a throwback up in the top right corner

Sink into despair, you can't escape is the vibe I get from this track. Makes sense considering both series, especially Zero Escape.
Brandon's melodies are very complex...
I'd say the sound design test was a resounding success. It had a nice escalation, while also being consistent at the same time at certain points in the track. Most of the track even sounded like a distorted track from the Danganronpa franchise. Not sure if that was entirely intentional, but it was great nonetheless.
Distorted stuff around the house goes hard 😂💕
This dubstep styled track has quickly gotten me to like it. I’ve listened to DarkStep and Heavier Dubstep before and that may be the reason why I like this one.
Awesome!
I like your usual style but really love when you get straight up experiMENTAL!
Very interesting instruments here like you said in your description. Very cool to see you take on this demented style
This is some catchy battle music that’s brings despair in it’s tracks
How many matchups does this woman have and why are they all so different ? Danganronpa truly is a peculiar thing.
And so is that song. Honestly I hesitated to simply not review it because it's so weird that it's hard to really grasp what the song is going for, let alone what to say on it. And frankly to a certain extent that is still the case for me so I'll probably keep that review on a surface level. Now, is that extreme weirdness a bad thing ? I wouldn't quite say so because it still sounds like, well, a song and I'd say it's enjoyable as a whole.
I straight up don't know Zero Time Dilemma and Danganronpa is still quite obscure to me but I think I catch the tone of the song as a whole and I find it fitting. As said earlier, it's extremely freaking weird but it still has a very singular feeling of dread and mystery while sounding like a Danganronpa OST with more conventionally scary segments (IE: the start and last arc of the song being calm classic "horror lullaby" segments) which makes it sound very unique.
And even if it's admittedly not a song I'd listen to on my own due to how it is, I find it unironically pretty enjoyable. Of course some moments border on the earrape which can be off-putting but it plays well with the theming of the song on that end: it's weird, it's scary but for some reason you can't "look" away from it which fits the characters. Or, well, Junko given it's the only one of the two I remotely know: a damn weird psychopathic murderer but one that's doing everything in her power to get your attention and keep it.
Also, didn't really mention it because it's not too audible in the final product but the fact that most of the "instruments" in this song are apparently IRL noises and not instruments but edited so much that they sound like actual music is impressive. Hell, if I hadn't read that those were IRL sounds edited into "instruments", I wouldn't have noticed. I mean, after the fact I can guess what some things are (IE: I suspect the sound at 0:44 is someone flipping pages of a book at high speeds or water being poured in a pot) but even then I'm really not sure which adds a lot to this air of weirdness and singularity that the song has. Yet again, it's weird and spooky but it catches your attention and keeps it as you wonder what the track will try to do next.
Overall as said earlier, this song is definitely one that I probably won't listen to a lot on its own. But it's also a track that feels extremely unique and interesting in the way it's made and what it features. From my extremely limited understanding of the characters it also fits them too which is really cool as you wouldn't expect something as psychedelic to fit *anything* yet it does, same goes for its general quality as it ends up being surprisingly enjoyable (with moderation, I probably wouldn't put that song on loop were it not for the review) despite its very extreme writing. So yeah, even if it's not a song for everything, it's definitely one that shows Brandon's skills and talent. Amazing job with this as always.

This may be another one of those odd matchup commissions, but I was thinking about a commission track for that one trio of inbred brothers from the Wrong Turn Movies going at it with the Sawyer Family including Leatherface himself from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Movies. Basically Hillbilly family Vs Hillbilly Family from both of those movie franchises.
Wiz: Junko Enoshima, the mastermind of Ultimate Despair.
Boomstick: Delta, the man who nearly ended mankind.
Wiz: There are those who go through life as though it is a game. Whether it is to have fun or find success, they decide how they win.
Boomstick: And to some, it doesn’t matter if the whole world loses along the way. He’s Wiz and I’m Boomstick.

AMV Plan
The Joker & The Major (DC Comics & Hellsing) - Simply Unfair Despair (Brandon Yates) (Full Version)
Tagline: "The Clown Prince Of Crime VS The Leader Of Millennium Aka Nazi With Junko Enoshima VS Delta's Commission Track."
The Joker VS The Major (DC Comics VS Hellsing) | Simply Unfair Despair AMV
The Joker: Mark Hamill/Takehitō Kōyasū
The Major: Gildart Jackson/Nōbūō Tōbita
Joke Of The Millennium (The Joker VS The Major) [DC Comics VS Hellsing]
Main theme:
Both are incredibly evil manipulators who have a philosophy centered around one concept (Madness and War) in which they use their intelligence to spread this idea causing mass chaos and hysteria which they revel in with an almost ever present grin on their face.
Additional connections:
Both have an obsession with taking down a single individual with an association with bats (Alucard being a vampire and Batman) who fights against evil at night.
Both in the past sided with evil organizations (a group of criminals and the nazi’s) which caused them to become cornered in which they’d have contrasting reactions (Major would reject drinking the blood around him, not wanting to throw away his humanity, meanwhile Joker as Red Hood would jump into a vat of chemicals while trying to escape, transforming him into the Joker we know today)
Okay now for something very specific that I wanted to include but isn’t necessary to the MU
the similarities between Joker and Major’s plan in both Death of the Family and Hellsing
Both plans derive from their obsession with the main character
These plans take place after they had seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth for an extended period of time
They would manipulate crazy people with a wide array of abilities both supernatural and not (Major with people such as Luke Valentine, Rip Van Winkle, Zorin Blitz and others. And Joker with people like Two-Face, Mr. Freeze, Scarecrow and even others) into joining their plan under their lead, though they are not the most caring or loyal leaders to them.
Both would turn the butler of the protagonist against them (Walter and Alfred)
And finally both at the end wanted to have the hero lose their sense of self (Batman giving into Joker’s kind of madness and Alucard fading from existence after absorbing Schrödinger) but they would ultimately fail even after getting so close due to the heroes sheer determination and attachment to those they hold dear (Batman overpowering the Joker’s manipulations and wanting to protect his family and Alucard destroying all of his souls so he could recognize himself again and come back to his master)

Delta is apparently the big bad of Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma, which is simultaneously a prequel and sequel to the second game because time travel shenanigans. Like Junko, he's the mastermind of a killing game that takes place in an enclosed environment, but his methods differ greatly from Junko.
