- I've used the Waking Up by Sam Harris to meditate for over a year now and want to give a more complete review from my previous video. I actually walk through using the app and some of the best features.

You make the app seem worth it!
Ooh I have the free scholarship after not using the app on a previous one a few years back and thought i'd check reviews again. Thanks for the adhd recommendation i've just been diagnosed so it'll be interesting to go to after the introduction 😊
i notice if you buy it from their web site they give you 20% off over in app subs. of course then cancelling is a bit more effort.
I did the scholarship, and you can also pay 30 dollars instead of 100.
Thanks for your review. Ive been considering the App but it's expensive and I have a hectic life, working full-time and studying also full-time, plus working 2 evenings extra per week. Would you say that one would find the time to meditate even with a lot of things going on all the time? Or would this App add stress? Really appreciate you reply 🙏
You can always email them to get one year free. It sounds like it would help you! The important thing for stress is to check in with how you feel after meditating. I hope you will be calmer and see the reward in the practice. You really do have a lot going on, but that means meditation can be even more essential for you! The app can help with stress because you can set a reminder, sit, and just press play.
As for sticking with meditation, please check out my video below:

Sam himself said that money shouldn't be the reason why you won't use this app.
do you think med apps in general are useful to someone who already has the basic concept down? Because I found that at a certain point, having someone speak while I'm meditating is mostly a distraction
Honestly, no. The meditation timers can be nice. If you don't like guided meditations they're probably not for you. That being said the Waking Up app has other features like podcasts. I personally feel a lot of benefits from guided meditation.
Can you change the playback speed on the Theory section?
Good question! You should be able to adjust between 0.8x and 2x.
@@PhilosopherScholar Can you please check and confirm? I am considering purchasing a subscription. Thanks.
