I SHOULD BE RINGING THERE (York) RIGHT NOW MYSELF! NOT being financially stranded in San Francisco where this exercise is actually (believe it or not) ILLEGAL! (Tower bell change ringing is unlawful in San Francisco, as it is believed to be 'too disturbing' to surrounding neighbours)! I know, sick, isn't it? I am writing this whilst ringing is still going on in UK for New Year 2016! (It is now at this writing 16:20, Thursday 2015-12-31 local time in San Francisco). This is why I am currently 'out-of-practise' ringer!
I like the tune of the bells, they play a very nice song plus it’s nice that it echoes all over the city of York!
About to say the kid on the simulator is doing very well!

theyre saxilby simulators. great but expensive! (£1K+!)
you can make a fairly simple simulator setup with some magnets and reed switches, but you have to go up and tie the clappers every time you use it...
I want on of them saxilby simulators aswell and I am going to get one once
Thought the people sitting out would keep quiet and not move around - not exactly ringing etiquette when others are concentrating.
