Context: Horacio Pagani requested an autoclave to make carbon fiber parts, but Lamborghini did not approve of his request because autoclaves are quite expensive and Ferrari didn't have one, so Lamborghini didn't feel the need of having one.
Pagani then left Lamborghini and took a loan to buy his own autoclave.
Then Lamborghini realized and released the Sesto Elemento 😂

Lamborghini didn't reject Pagani like how Ferrari did. It's because Lambo is having Financial Problems to the point that they can't make Pagani's dream (Carbon Fiber Lambo) come true since Carbon Fiber was expensive. Also, Horacio left Lamborghini by his choice not Lambo's. You guys think that Lamborghini is acting a bit like Ferrari but look further and you might see why they rejected Horacio.

What really happened was...
Pagani spoke about his idea and Lamborghini did give him a chance to make that idea possible hence carbon fibre countach was made. At that point Lamborghini was on the verge of shutting down because project M1 was cancelled and their last hope was on the LM 001 or 2 I don't remember that. It was for the military but that was also a huge failure.

Lamborghini also could not have survived today if it wasn't milking the influencers and unknowing rich people. All Lamborghini does is create a "trash" base model, then wait for 2 years, and release a S, SVJ, STO, SV... which really is just a bodykit and a wing, and like 10 more hp, all for a 100% markup. What a scam, and so many people buy into it.

No Pagani competes with Bugatti and Koenesegg so Pagani being made doesn't effect Lamborgini the same way Lamborgini effected Ferrari because they are direct competitors in those price ranges and Lambo has taken the majority market place. So Ferrari will always be kicking themselves more then Lambo. If Pagani were to start making $250- $750K cars then Lambo would become a direct competitor.

They should make all cars out of carbon fiber with areas that can be easily removed and replaced when damaged . So if someone hits your quarter panel you can just pop it off with some screws and voilà. That would be pretty neat because then you can customize your own carbon fiber pieces, and just pop them on.

You should keep in mind that Lamborghini was also in a financial struggle during the 90's, they simply could not afford pagani's idea as carbon fibre at that time was expensive. Also fyi, it was the management team at Lamborghini who dismissed pagani's idea, not Ferruccio himself. Ferruccio didn't even own the company during the 90's as he sold it back in '74, he was absolutely not involved in anything that happened to Pagani.

1: They refused to use carbon fibre because *at the time* the material was expensive during the 90's, and during then Lamborghini was struggling financially.
2: The Sesto elemento came out decades after the pagani events, being unveiled in 2010. By that time Lamborghini was doing so much better financially thanks to Audi and Volkswagen. Now they could afford carbon fibre.
