    Worked with Andrew early in his career when I was an intern in football. In my opinion people rewrite history and act like Luck was getting sacked all the time...he ran all over the place and that's where most his injuries came from. I like that he pushed back on that notion because I think it is a lazy take. Andrew was fun to watch and he put his body on the line every week. He is one of the most fascinating people I've ever met and treated everyone with respect and kindness. I'm happy he and his family are back and happy at Stanford and I'll always root for his success.

    • @AceManning18
      @AceManning18 8 днів тому +1

      He was sacked 73 times in 2 seasons. Nobody is re-writing history when they say he got sacked a lot. The only reason it wasn't 100 is because he was built like a shithouse and had superhuman perception. I don't know how many plays I distinctly remember him shaking off multiple people grabbing him, doing everything BUT getting the sack and he would escape and complete a pass or run for a first down.
      Goofball take. Yes, he risked his health by running around and putting his body on the line. He also got the shit smashed out of him in the pocket his first 2 seasons especially. Both can be true.

    • @MeTube1988
      @MeTube1988 8 днів тому

      @@AceManning18I just mean its not like he was David Carr back there standing in the pocket taking sacks damn near every play. He was always a runner even at Stanford. The lacerated kidney for example was on a run. Either way Im just glad to see hes happy. It sucks for the fans but he clearly was content moving on from playing.

      @@drexlspivey3047seriously as a Colts fan this shit has to stop.
      We need to make one thing clear - when they talk about Luck and say he was the best prospect ever, best prospect since Elway/Manning or whatever, it's almost entirely because of his brain and level of advancement when entering the league. Admittedly, that was light years ahead of Newton or Allen.
      But physically? He wasn't a one in a million guy like those 2. Everything was really good, nothing was truly elite. There were QBs with stronger arms, faster, bigger, stronger.
      People get carried away with the hyperbole. Physically there are usually 1 or 2 guys every year who are comparable to Luck, at least nowadays. Mentally is another story. Bruce Arians system is not easy to learn, and it leaves the QB open to getting hit a lot. He dealt with it all, his head coach getting diagnosed with cancer, a team that had been gutted, and won 11 games.
      So basically be more specific people. What do you actually mean when you say these things about him. That's all. Carry on.

Oh and you can always depend on him to ask his guest a question and then immediately interrupt them pushing back, which makes absolutely no sense

    His injuries with the Colts were a strange time because the Colts were never honest to the public about his health and his rehab. One rumor is that one of his worst injuries happened when he was snowboarding in the offseason. For his final injury, Luck has a "leg injury", but the Colts wouldn't specify what the injury was. The Colts haven't been the same since Luck retired. Nice job booking him, Todd! Luck hasn't done a ton of interviews.
