    I'm ashamed of how often I giggled when you said "Nipple"
    Seriously wanted to know how this thing worked though, it's crazy.

    Jesus Christ man, you're a genius! I saw this on SBNC a while ago, and I'm just blown away.

    This is awesome. been trying to find a way to make a semi-auto HPA blaster. Have there been any updated versions to this design? If there is, it would be great to see the changes you've made.

    • @SpectreNerf
      @SpectreNerf  7 років тому

      PFenixTX the revisions have merely taken the form of normal shells and been automatic. They were also more expensive, so I dare say you wouldn't enjoy the price tag.

    • @Kit2KatBar
      @Kit2KatBar 7 років тому

      Spectre's Nerf Workshop Oh automatic? like you Death Blossom? That's pretty cool. still a bit curious on how you did it, but it does sound like it might be very expensive. I'm more of a semizauto guy anyway so ill probably stick with that if I ever get around to making something like this.
      btw, what do you mean by normal shell? do you mean just using 1 blaster shell rather than making a new one with 3 blasters like the this setup you have? Would be interested to know which blaster shells you recommend if this was the case. Would rather use 1 shell rather than Frankensteining one together.

    • @SpectreNerf
      @SpectreNerf  7 років тому +1

      PFenixTX the Cent shell has plenty of real estate for everything you'd need for a semiauto build. That or the Stampede.

    I was so looking forward seeing the thing moving, but then the video ended... please, at least one cycle!

      theCJoe It wasn't pressurised! I built one for Drac though, and when he FINALLY gets around to doing it you'll see how it goes :P

    I don’t understand the piston part, do one side of the T run straight to the front of the piston or to the end, from what i see there’s to lines running from the piston to tank?Can i have a draft of it of the lines?

    • @SpectreNerf
      @SpectreNerf  6 років тому

      Mister Bubs the circuit is still pretty simple. From the MJVO-3, the line splits and runs to the piston and the firing tank. At the piston, the line splits and runs back to the firing tank via a check valve. The check valve stops the inlet pressure from the MJVO-3 from interfering with the dump cycle.

    • @misterbubs9185
      @misterbubs9185 6 років тому

      So I only need to connect one side of the piston?
      Do your piston have to sides?

    • @SpectreNerf
      @SpectreNerf  6 років тому

      Mister Bubs most do. Mine are single acting, which means that it returns by itself. So yes, in my system you only have to connect one end of the piston.

  • @epicnerf1
    @epicnerf1 7 років тому

    Hey there. So I understand your whole assembly except one part.... when the air comes in thru the trigger into the firing tank, how does the tank pressurize If the barrel is always open? If I recall, there is only the Quick exhaust valve to the far right(which I assume is for leaking the tank) the actual tank, and a direct link to the barrel thru conduit pipe in that area.. Did I miss something?

    • @SpectreNerf
      @SpectreNerf  7 років тому

      epicnerf1 the quick exhaust valve is normally closed, the trigger then opens the valve to fire all the air out through the breech/barrel.

  • @Load_the_ducks

    I have been inspired.
    2 questions,
    where do you like to get your QEVs,
    And, at 4:03 you mention 20mm pvc. I'm assuming that this is Australian standard, but are we talking pressure or electrical?
    Thanks for the insight

    • @SpectreNerf
      @SpectreNerf  6 років тому

      Sir Benny I get my QEV's from Fittings Express. The 20mm PVC is electrical conduit, purchasable at Bunnings.

    Damn. That 1/2 inch QEV is expensive!

    • @SpectreNerf
      @SpectreNerf  7 років тому +1

      person guy yeah, I've moved on from using 1/2 inch QEV's to magnitudinally more expensive projects. Death Blossom was one of them.

    • @anon44129
      @anon44129 7 років тому +1

      Yeah. I'm trying to buy the cheapest things to see if HPA is something I would want to do more of in the future. Would there be a cheaper alternative for that QEV?

    • @SpectreNerf
      @SpectreNerf  7 років тому +1

      person guy a 1/4" qev or a 1/2" Ebay equivalent of the $9 variety may work, but no guarantees on its safety factor.

    • @SpectreNerf
      @SpectreNerf  7 років тому +1

      person guy yes, very easily. You wouldn't need the piston then, in order to make it semi auto.

  • @isaacgalewsky369
    @isaacgalewsky369 7 років тому

    did you make the piston you're using to cycle the action or did you buy it, if so how would i got about getting one?

  • @misterbubs9185
    @misterbubs9185 6 років тому

    Why would the QEV suddenly release the air in the tank when you close the circuit, the pressure inside the circuit would just stay the same
    (Also, just asking, if I make something similar to this and put it on my video can I credit you?)

    • @SpectreNerf
      @SpectreNerf  6 років тому

      Mister Bubs the 3 way 2 position valve, when closed, vents the pilot volume in the airlines which allows the QEV to fire.

    • @SpectreNerf
      @SpectreNerf  6 років тому

      Sure, this build is well known enough that you'll get told to credit me if you don't :P

    • @SpectreNerf

      Mister Bubs but a lot of people saw this on SBNC. So yeah.

    • @misterbubs9185
      @misterbubs9185 6 років тому

      So only the people in SBNC

  • @epicnerf1
    @epicnerf1 7 років тому

    How does the QEV know to actuate? Does it have a certain pressure it detects to fire or is it done up some other way?

    • @SpectreNerf
      @SpectreNerf  7 років тому

      epicnerf1 the trigger is a 3 way 2 position valve. When the trigger is pressed it vents the pressure between the QEV and the trigger, which pulls the diaphragm inside back and opens up the exhaust port.

      Swaggy Melbourne Operator that'd be all well and good if I could remember where I bought the piston, if it's even still available. The rest of the stuff is available from Bunnings or pneumatic suppliers.
