Quick correction! I forgot that my Owl palette actually contains the Jellyfish palette from last year. Just realized that and wanted to clarify in case any of you have the previous palettes.
Thank you from all of the Asians for this review! I have been living for this moment❤ Congratulations on your new baby! You are a beautiful new mother! You don’t need any makeup with the mom glows❤
This video is the most helpful one i have seen of all the Hourglass holiday palettes! Thank you so much for the straightforward comparisons with the Elephant and Sculpture palettes ❤
I use one as a brightener and I really love that. I like having the two finishing powders.
Thank you so much! Just purchased dragon palette, super excited to try it !!
Best review for these palettes! Every time I have a follow up question in my head, you end up answering it lol so good😊
What a great review!!
Oh my goodness, glad to see you back! Also congratulations on your baby boy ❤❤❤🎉
Got the dragon on the way to me now...this is the first year I have been able to afford one of these palettes and I have always wanted one 😂❤
Congratulations for your baby ! Thank you for the overview I’m thinking now about buying one this year
Congrats 🎉 Glad you're back!
thanks for this review and the swatch comparisons - it has helped me to decide whether or not to get the dragon palette as I have the jellyfish palette from last year already. This year they upped the price to £90! Last year I managed to get it for around £70. I think the dragon palette case looks nice but the blushes are too similar to last years. So I think I may skip it this year and see what they have next year
@@prettypinkcrafting1070 Glad the video was helpful! That makes sense! Overall, a lot of these do look similar on the face. If I didn’t have a channel, I’d probably just stick to one or two of these palettes instead of buying new ones every year.
Congratulations on your bundle of joy, I´m so happy for you :D
Thanks so much for the review! 💛
Thank you for such a full video. It has really helped me to make a final decision 😊
Hey, friend! I was looking around for you. 😊 I pulled out my Hourglass palettes from last year and wondered how these compared. Perfect timing!
Edit: Oh wow, congrats on the happy news!! I wondered if you were taking a short break for a fun/good reason, and that certainly is! Many virtual hugs to you and your baby, who must be adorable like mom. 🥰
Thanks for the comparison swatches! They helped me determine that the Evil Eye palette is on my horizon. I like the tone of the bronzer and the nude (more subtle) blush. I think with all of last year’s palettes and some from previous years, I’m all set with their bright pink blushes, so the Evil Eye curation seems the most different. Also, that highlighter definitely worked on your cheekbone! 🤩
@@das_ein Thanks so much! Yeah, I definitely think the Evil Eye palette is the most unique and versatile curation they’ve come out with in recent years. Excited to bring it with me on a trip! :)
Congratulations! 🐣🥰 I've been hoping to see a review from you. Thank you! 🤗
Congratulations Mama! I was wondering what you were up to! Great review as always ❤I am considering getting both Dragon and Evil Eye. They both seem different enough from the two I have: Jellyfish (in Owl packaging) and Universe Light.
Congratulations on having a baby! I'm always interested in a pregnancy/birth story.
love this review thank you💛
They both look great on you and on me too! I only thought dragon… debating to get evil eye as well. What do you think?
If you don’t review for UA-cam, would you get both? ❤
@@ibsunshinesu6011 If I didn’t have this channel, I’d probably just get the Evil Eye palette since I already have a bunch of Hourglass palettes that give the more natural look. The Evil Eye one is a more unique curation compared to what they’ve done in the past. That said, I will probably get a lot of use from Dragon since I’ll start traveling with it instead of the Owl/Jellyfish palette, which has been my go-to lately.
Overall, I’d say if you want more natural, Dragon is better. If you like more pops of color or you already have a bunch of hourglass palettes, Evil Eye is better.
@@areteanbeauty you are the best! I’m so happy your channel was suggested, I’m going to binge watch! Next I’m enjoying your expert and unfiltered opinions on motherships ❤️
Can I use the finishing powder in this palette to set my under eyes without setting powder?
@@Mingg.92 depends on your skin type and concealer. When I use Hourglass’s finishing powders, I usually still set my under-eye area with a little setting powder and just use the finishing powder to brighten up the area at the end. Overall I find that finishing powder doesn’t do a lot for controlling oil, preventing creasing, or fixing makeup in place - it’s more like a blurring filter to smooth the overall appearance.
@ i have dry skin and I always go for natural make up with very minimal complextion or powder
Congratulations!!! 🌹 So glad to see a review that's close to my skin tone. I have both the Owl and the Elephant palettes too. Thanks for the shade comparison! On the Dragon palette you have, do you find the peach blush a bit overbaked or hard to pick up by a brush? That's what i saw on the other reviews. Also, is the finishing powder on the Dragon palette slightly warmer than the Owl one? I found the Owl one a bit too bright for me sometimes, and hoping the one in the Dragon palette will be more natural. Thank you!
@@selsel7255 Thank you! That shade is definitely more muted than their other blushes, but I found it not to be too hard to pick up with a dense natural hair brush. In general Dragon definitely gives a more subtle look though.
By the way, I realized after I finished filming that my Owl palette actually contains Jellyfish - sorry for not mentioning that in the video! The finishing powders in Dragon are a bit peachier than the ones in the OG Jellyfish, so they might work better for you. :) I also find the Jellyfish ones to be quite brightening.
does anyone know if the colors inside are in the mini size? i just received my evil eye palette and somehow was shocked to see how tiny these were. based on all the photos and videos I had seen online the quads did not appear so tiny.
