This is an awesome idea! Are you able to tell me what products you’ve used to print the marks onto? I’m new to this so can’t really tell. Thanks
i used a standard 20x24 screen, burned the image with chromaline emulsion and used ryonets black water-based ink to print onto the paper of the pallet. then covered the paper with PMI double sided pallet tape. i hope that helps

Great idea, beats drawing lines. Should be doing in next couple days. I saw you are using the PMI Double side pallet tape ( I also use that tape, they don’t recommend using standard pallet tape under the dual side pallet tape). Have you had any issues with the PMI dual side on top of standard pallet tape?
It acts the same as if it was just on the pallet itself. I haven't had any issues. I do go an extra mile now and put a small strip of painters tape around the edges to keep the PMI tape from catching the shirts and pulling off.

Table adhesive? I do put liquid adhesive on top of double sided tape have a better hold.
hi Kevin, another question... does this platen registration come as a digital download? that way we can remove some of the lines for just the new screen/graphic alignment on the platen. what format is the download?
Yes, it is a digital download and you should be able to add or remove anything you don't need. If there is any issues, just shoot me a DM and I'll be glad to help out anyway I can
Does this work on all size platens? I recently upgraded my work station and now my platen is a small one. 14x16 I believe.
I don't know why it wouldn't. I assume you are gonna use a 20x24 in screen?

@@KevinAcker I noticed thats a vastex press. How you like the press so far. Im on an entry level Hopkins press. Looking to upgrade. And by your Vids, I know you are dedicated to the craft. Would like your input. I primarily print hot split transfers . I know they make a vacuuming table for their press'. Looking for tool feel off contact tilt. Its a bear on this hopkim.... To dial it in. Thanks for the youtube vids. You are freaking awesome!
@@Dtag1971 I don't have any complaints, but I do have the 2000HD model which is there top module so I shouldn't. It is a bit heavy, being all steel. I would prefer aluminum if I could do it over. But I bought a shop out and that's what they had and at the price I got it, I'm not complaining.

@@Dtag1971 if I had any suggestions it would be too get the biggest one you can afford. I love my 10x10 and I wouldn't want anything less. Maybe less colors would be fine, but the number of pallets is awesome. It give the press time to cool down in between flashes so I don't have to stop and I knock out 10 shirts at a time. Just something to consider
So, I'm seeing and hearing two different words for the same piece of flat material... is it "Pallet" or "Platen"?
I think it just depends on who you ask. I'm pretty sure it's platen but I could be wrong. I'm from the south and we pronounce everything wrong so don't take my word for it
