As a Stormworks player i guarantee you that you are lucky the flares dont light up the area, otherwise people would absolutely destroy frames with the amount of flares you can have at the same time

You could always limit the amount of dynamic lights from flares or any other source for that matter, at least the devs should give you that option. Would be aesthetically inconsistent, but I'd rather not have a slide show. Or else this will be abused as a frame rate killer weapon, this is the first thing that comes to my malicious mind. Never played Stormworks BTW.

they should add a distance sensor with a cone of activation instead of a straight line so people can make radars, missiles, self driving vehicles etc.
I think that having auto cannons as a option for PVP will help with plane recreations and PVP obviously
as a tank designer, fireworks are gonna be great for aesthetic smoke grenades, and the signal flares obviously great for fake countermeasures
I'm curious what'd happen if one were to place a huge number of fan formation Fireworks on the rear of a Plane and try shooting them into a dogfight pursuer's face...? :P
they should add custom engines so there isnt just 3 options

And more types of angle blocks and armor plates. Both have limited selections too.
You can already make custom engines with pistons, chopper engines, power couplers and a dream. Grip is a problem tho
Ya oughta watch Project Storm more often... he has Vids on some damn neat forms of 'Custom Engine'... also, research cool awesomesauce like the "UFO Engine". ;)

You scrap man and maybe some other people, should do a rescue challenge were you try and find a boat that occasionally sends out flares. Also love both of your videos

I just did a deep dive into past trailmakers updates to find out when I joined the game. I've been around since the blown to bits update, which I think is 1.3
There are new logic block(s) I think,there was a dot on the logic tab it only is there when you unlock a new block.
Yeah I noticed that too I really hope there is a new logic block they need to add more distance on the distance sensor

They should definitely add flares for planes
Love Decals, when can we add more than one and decorate all sides of the block. I would also like some brakes for my cars, cable blocks would be cool, pully and gear systems, smaller hover pads, and sound options to alter sounds of engines and that annoying sounding hover pad lol.
I think I know what decals are coming next week.. Letters hopefully

Got another anti creativity DLC. What a surprise. Can't wait to rarely use the three free parts.
85USD for the full game. 60USD to build without restrictions. 25USD for cosmetics, which is perfectly fine. USD that they haven't earned from me. Not with these marketing tactics. And that's not including this DLC.
Almost considering a refund at this point. I bought the game expecting to build without even more paywalls and I feel betrayed.
Imagine if Minecraft put things like the blast furnace, smoker, and crafter behind paywalls.

The new signal flares are gonna be a new way to make plane flares, even though they won't work.
i have an idea. you can make block that will detach, then bind it to the same button as your signal flare and it will probably work.
@borshez it could work, but if the flare is not a trackable object it won't be as effective as when yuzei built flares using that same method except with scones.
Maybe there could be a way for someone to mod them into working like counter measures. That would be cool.

I am a little worried that at this rate, the game will end up like Minecraft, and be essentially over-saturated with blocks. I like new additions, but it's so frequent.
