you have no chance when opposing team scores three masterpiece goals in a row like Tampa`s sequence Stamkos-Kuch-Stamkos - that whas a knock-down, and a KO with such a goalie performance.

Vassy was out of his mind tonight. I never doubted for a second that he wouldn’t come back into form. I have a feeling that Tampa is really going to start cooking now. Even with all the games in hand it seems very unlikely that the Sens are gunna threaten a playoff spot. The Atlantic is an absolute beast and once again they dug themselves too big of a hole to start the season
Not saying bolts won't turn it around but they have been bad this season. Most of their wins they were outplayed but the goalies bailed them out. They're not the threat like they used to be anymore
The bolts are pretty bad outside of vasilevsky and stamkos (who doesn’t even want to be there anymore) I guess kucherov to but he was not noticeable at all in this game. Tampa is over the jump the oilers made them look like toddlers all night vasi just played like an absolute freak and stole the game. It happens but I think Edmonton would beat Tampa in five or six of a playoff series vasi would steal a game or two I’m sure

Oilers dominated this game, but Lighting made the most of their slim chances. Tough loss but what a game. Vas had a unreal performance and if not for him, Oilers score 7-8.
Wasting too many good chances against a good team is never a good idea, Oiler ended up passing way too much on one situation at least 3 times.

Look at the shots on goal and all you have to talk about is.a couple of times you thought the Oil had too many passes? The Oilers outshoot a team this badly, it’s a W 9 times out of 10. Vasy bailed the Lightning out with a killer performance, even for him.
Hate to break it to you, but shots mean nothing. You can shoot from Center ice all night long, but hey, they dominated right? It’s not just about shots, just ask the 2017-2021 flames. You could get 100 shots a night, but if you can’t stop a beach ball then you’re going to lose. Simple.
@@ivodozi they weren’t “shooting from centre ice”, almost all the shots in the second period alone were all high danger chances. You clearly didn’t watch the game because Oilers were all over Tampa, the Lightning looked like an AHL team against them that got carried by Vasi

I didn’t even notice kucherov out there tonight outside of one play that skinner should have saved… stammer looked great though.
Skinner had a great 7 game stretch don’t get me wrong, but he is inconsistent, we’ve seen it many times before. Obviously Pickard’s sample start has been extremely small, and expectations should be low for him based on his career. But he’s earned the chance for a couple starts in the upcoming games, gotta give him the net and see what he can do.
Skinner didn't lose the game for Edmonton, Vazy won the game for Tampa.

This game is proof a great goalie is more valuable than ANYTHING else. 2 goal scorers and a goalie beat the entire edmonton oilers.

@@leanercleaner698 Had better rebound control on goals 2 and 3, not had my legs as wide open as your mother’s on the 4th, and stopped an easy slot shot on the 5th. I love Stu, I hope he can be the franchise goalie we need, but it’s also not a stretch to say he had a bad night. He was the first one to acknowledge after the game that the loss was on him. There were a lot of shots he could / should have had. It’s not like I’m saying he should never play hockey again, but I’m not wrong in saying he played bad tonight.

The leafs, they’re actually deadly with the extra attacker even if they manage to choke in overtime (isles, blue jackets, bruins) they still utilize the extra attacker very well and almost always clutch it up with little time left.
Edmonton's 4th goal? Was 6 on 5 after the power play ended and they scored. I'm a Tampa fan, but the answer to your question was in the video.

No way the Oilers do anything in the playoffs. Tampa is a team on the decline (sorry Tampa fans, but it’s true). You get 54 shots on net, and get 4 goals. Even with the supposed “best player ever” on your team (I’d say top 20 player, maybe). You won’t beat a team like Vegas (again), or even LA, who is a team on the rise. For gods sake, get some goaltending then we can talk about winning.

The look that Skinner gave Stamkos after his second goal (05:23) maybe be the funniest thing I've seen this season.
Oilers dominated, 7-4 definitely doesn’t reflect how close the game really was. That was one of the best if not the goalie performances at Rogers this season. That first period should have easily been a 3-4 goal period. Hats off to Vasy but as an Oilers fan I was not disappointed with how they played. Let’s get one tomorrow against Florida boys.

It says a lot when the goalie who gave up 4 goals on the night had the best performance of game. Great to see Stamkos get another hatty but the Bolts really need to step up. Easily could have gotten blown out this game.

I would rather they had this streak than wait well into unknown, winning the next one keeps them in the hunt adding another would be a perfect send off to a holiday.
This game was all about Vasy. You don’t win many games giving up 57 shots on goal. Vasy got hot and the Lightning got lucky. That’s the story line, not some revert garbage. If the world was blind, you might fool someone with that brutal take, otherwise you’re not fooling anyone.

As Oilers fan, I am very frustrated with Skinner’s goaltending. To me it’s mind boggling how often Skinner is relying on his huge size by staying static on the goal line, instead of learning how to play aggressively and challenge the puck shooter… He needs to understand that being aggressive and more “fluid” in net would result in far less goals… Also, clearly he is a “slow thinker”. Just look how he plays puck behind the net, especially when under pressure. But then again, he probably does not have those abilities that other big goalies like Vasilevsky have, so we got what we got.

@@alm9362 Абсолютно, нет . Посмотрите внимательно, два гола Стэмкоса забиты с ассисов Никиты , плюс , Куч забил самый важный гол в третьем периоде. Ну а без Василевского точно не было бы победы.

@@alm9362 Согласен, гол - мастерский . Но нельзя не учитывать тот фактор, что Василевский отбил 53 броска ! из 57-ми . Эдмонтон в зоне Тампы играл в три раза больше, чем Тампа гостила у них . Кстати, ещё один момент: Стэмкос в этом матче играл в третьем звене , Може это отчасти тоже повлияло на такой результативный матч для него .
Печально то , что Тампа выигрывает в этом сезоне не системно , а благодаря действию отдельных игроков , Эдмонтон же как ни странно как команда на голову сильнее своих апплнентов в последних матчах .
