This video shows the ingenious hack a woman used to remove the shedding fur from her American Akita.
Cassandra Karlsen, 33, is from Norway and lives with her two American Akita’s, Panda and Argo, who are both seven-years-old.
Shedding season happens around twice a year for dogs with a double coating of fur, such as Huskies, Pomeranians and American Akitas.
Cassandra’s frequently fur covered home urged her to find a better way of managing the shedding coats.

Ok. So, FYI, you need to point the nozzle directly at the fur, and draw really fast small circles all over, and it will fly off there without any issues.
That must feel so great for the dog, compacted undercoat can get very itchy.

But yes very often people will say I'm going to Hoover rather than I'm going to vacuum.
Much like toilets/wc's in America are called bathrooms but they often don't have a bath in them 🤷🏻♀️
He may well be using a Hoover product but he is using it on a blow setting, and the video should say so.
Canister vacuums (at least in my youth) have attachments on either end for the hose, one side sucks air and the other side blows air. So, one can use a vacuum for blowing.
This is extremely painful for dogs!

They have 2 Furs, 1 long for heat/water/snow resistance that is well isolated. And one underneath that is short and rougher to keep them warm

Its a high velocity dog grooming dryer - You have to use hearing protection for you and the dog if you use it indoors

Isn't that removing too much fur?
Nope the undercoat has shed off and was just stuck. Double coated breeds need help removing it. Lots of brushing or special technique. It only took off what was already shed.
