  • After seeing Big Clive use this meter in one of his Chinesium LED teardowns, I decided it was the DC current clamp meter of my dreams. Two days later I unbox and test it.

The bag is actually quite good and instructions better than most. With low DC you must be intelligent re zeroing, even earths magnetic field will effect it. All other modes are very accurate, as good as my Fluke.

I do own both the 210D and the 210E, and indeed they are really good for the price.
TheD is nice for temperature and frequency but the 200Ampere is a nice thing when working in cars and trucks.
the E is with me for its accuracy in the 2A scale. :-)

Hi, thank you for your comment. I bought the D model. And I tried to measure low amps in the range of 5 to 10 A. in my car. I can't get it to work. Is it possible that the model D is not working for lower currents of DC?
I thought the difference between the model E and the model D is that you have to set the range on E manually and the D modell does it automaticly?!
      thank you

@@pm-s3654 The -D Model should be capable to work in DC Amps as well. If set to the AMP rating, press the Blue button to switch it to DC mode., then bring the clamp still closed to the conductor, in the position you want to measure the current through that conductor. Pres the Zero button (Black) to cancel any momentairely present magnetic field. Then open the clamp, put the conductor inside, and close the clamp.
That should give you the reading of the DC current, in the most possible precision.
      Greetings, Neovo.

@@Neovo.Geesink thank you so much for your fast answer. My problem is actually that I don't know if this model can also read very low amperage. Like 2 Amps?

@@pm-s3654 Even that low, It should do that. Otherwise, return it for RMA, since the meter is clearly defective when incapable of measuring single Amps...

@@pm-s3654 It should be capablem to measure single Amps in the DC range... If the meter absilutely does not give a reading, sent it back for RMA. The minimum resolution should be 100mA The Sensitivity should allso be that low...

Do you know this 211E can be hacked to get 6000 count instead of 2000 so each scale can go up to "6" instead of "2" ? you can also change the timeout of the light and the default AC into DC mode and a few other things.

What is the significance of the + simbal on one of the clamp meter jaws?
Please can you explain as no - on the opposite jaw?

I use a UNI-T UT-CS06A 400A AC Current Clamp Sensor, UT196/UT139C/UT117C Multimeter Option Current Clamp for my Fluke 107. If you search for Fluke 107 Digital Multimeter & UNI-T CS06A AC Clamp Accessory Functional Test is should show.

    Uni-t are a good brand
They have made a big inprestion in the UK and Europe, all my test instruments are uni-t
Exsept for my MFT with ia a ROBIN KTS 1620, I have a uni-t clamp meter a uni-t voltage indicator and a uni-t multy meter I have been using this brend for seven years and I have never had any problems with them, why pay hundreds of pounds /dollars for the likes of fluke mega kewtech and many others when you can get just as good for a fraction of the price from UNI-T

Hey buddy! Hoping you can help me with a clamp meter. I dont know much but truly looking to learn! I want to purchase a clamp meter under 200 for AC AND DC current I'm looking for something SAFE/WELL PROTECTED and capable of reading AC AND DC current from .5 amps to 60 amps as accurately as possible through the clamp. Do you have 1,2 or 3 suggestions. I was looking at the Klein cl800 but someone told me it will not read AC AND DC current through the clamp down to half amp accurately..... THANKS FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN PROVIDE ME

Sorry, the meter in this video is the only one I have any experience with. I would just be reading spec sheets along with you during your search.
