  • It's been a long, long time since I've published a video. I didn't stop making pottery. I just got busy - doing lives on Instagram and teaching pottery classes at the local community center - and I lost a bit of my confidence when it comes to producing my pottery videos, to be honest. But I'm pushing through. One tiny pot at a time.

You’ve nailed this video!!! Your explanation was right on the dot. Unfortunately burnout can be present in all facade of our life and in all professions and creations. It is something very real and for you to take the time to describe it will mostly help other to realize it too.
Burnout can affect everyone but I think it affect mostly the one’s that have a big heart, pleasers, caring hearts, unsecured/perfectionist ones. We set expectations for ourselves that often are more than we can achieve or deliver. We are often our biggest enemy by putting way more pressure that others put on us.
Thank you so much for putting your authentic self out there for others to have the chance to realize that they may also be feeling the same way.
You have a gift with words.
May I add that you can be proud of your achievements because you are so good. You are a kind, thoughtful, caring and cheerful person. Your personality is amazing. Knowing when to take a mental/physical pause is very important for each and everyone of us, but we may often realize it a bit too late. I’m talking from experiences.
Thanks again for this wonderful video!❤️

thank you Nadia! You're so insightful, really! Your words really hit me hard - I do struggle with being a people pleaser and figuring out my boundaries. It's something I struggle with in all aspects of my life. You hit the nail right on the head here.

You sound professional like those hypnosis videos I used to listen to! You are a multi creative like me. It’s so true ! What social media wants is exactly what they expect, over and over. You make pottery and you branch out and make a dress you basically get unfollowed. I always say “Eat an Elephant one bite at a time.” The pots look lovely!

Yes! I make things bc I exist. My artist statement labels myself first and foremost a maker.

I am in a total burnout in just about every aspect of my life. I am okay emotionally to an extent. I am just not myself. I want to create but with an injury I am struggling to find something to do to get out of my funk. It will happen but it is my life for now.

it's so rough sometimes! I just keep reminding myself that there's a light at the end of the tunnel. There's a light at the end of the tunnel...
