Staying celibate as a single sister is a wise choice to make. It has loads of benefits for you, one among many of them; is that it protects you from toxic relationships.
It's easy to say that there is no harm in trial. But I assure you, when it comes to things of the heart trial has 99% risk of harm as it could affect your mindset and psychological bearing as a lady.
So it's safer to wait on God for the right man at the right time.
I ask myself this question, "why do decent ladies keep falling for this?"
How can we protect our ladies from "Hunter"?
Because there are no decent men out there..Even the seemingly decent ones turn out to be wolves in sheep's clothing.
I asked myself this question many years ago too why good ladies fall for bad guys? There are many reasons.
1. Good ladies have no idea how bad guys behave. Thier tricks and tactics. Some good ladies are not street smart. Creating a balance will help. Be swift like a serpent gentle like a dove. This brings me to the story of the five foolish Virgins. They were physically relevant but spiritually dead. A lot of good ladies don't understand balance. That's why it's easy for those bad guys to swerve them.
2. A lot of good girls are attracted to bad guys. They want a Davido in a moses bliss. Thier hearts still yearns for bad boy antics. And some bad boys know so they take advantage of this weakness.
3. Societal pressure. Good girls have adjusted Thier lives to fit into societal pressure to keep a relationship regardless of if it's wrong. Everyone is doing it and they are not going to help fire so why can't we. Age factor is another thing, etc.
4. No purpose. Just like the five foolish virgins some good girls don't have purpose. They believe that once they are virgins and go to church they are fine. The bad boys will come for you because they know you don't know your purpose on a deep level so when he says give me sex you will just fall. A woman of purpose can never fall for such tricks because she follows a laid rule way beyond being a virgin. She lives for a reason so relationship or not she still fulfills purpose.
5. Untamed emotions. As human we still have blood flowing through our vessel so sometimes our body may desire sex and if we can't manage it by the help of the holy spirit we definitely meet someone who will encourage us or lead us into sin.
My take.
@@TolusCornah, good take. I love the purpose bit. As someone who has been involved with such men before but now in a Christ, I now know purpose is important. Also understanding why God made marriage has been helpful for me.
