Miata Diagnosis: Vacuum Leak Testing

This video demonstrates how to check a Mazda Miata for vacuum leaks. This is a critical diagnostic tool because vacuum leaks can cause a number of different issues including high idle, low idle, misfires, check engine lights, emissions faults, surging idle, running lean or running rich. We also cover two different types of smoke testing tools that can be used for a quick diagnosis. This example is an NA Miata but NB would be nearly identical, the same equipment can be used for NC or ND as well only slight differences in how things are hooked up. Thanks for watching.

Yeah I forgot to show it in the video but it also came with adapters for the gas cap to check out he fuel tank itself
