Our water lines FROZE | Freeze Miser fail?

In late November we setup our automatic, freeze proof livestock water system on the farm using poly hose and freeze miser freeze proof adapters.
They said it'd never work. They said it'd freeze up. They were right! But it didn't freeze up for the reasons they suspected!
