For most people who are in xc or compete in bigger races tend to be a bit faster, so for him a 10 minute mile pace is jogging. I run xc and my mile pace jog tends to be 8-9 minutes, but everyone’s at a different level and don’t feel bad just go out and do whatever pace your jog is
These warmups shouldn't be taxing enough to tire you out. Do them at a low intensity that warms up your muscles and makes you feel ready to push hard during your race!
Gonna do this or similar before my 5k this Saturday. I've done 3 in a row so far, (they're on each Saturday) and I've gotten there with max 2 minutes to spare so far 😂 will see if I get an improved result!
30 min break after warm up isn't too much? i do a similar warm up but i m always afraid to w8 more than 10 min without doing anything let along sitting in a chair.Am i wrong?
I think if it's very warm or hot weather you want longer break like 30 mins. But if it's cool or cold like -10C where I will race next, no more than 10 mins break.
Nice info but not applicable for those of us who have a pace much slower than 10 min mile. This warm up would burn most of my race gas. Sometimes a 5k is all I have in me.

LOL. "Keep it easy, a 10 minute mile warmup pace is fine". That's basically my average pace in a 5K. :P
his jogging pace is better than average runners 5k pace or even 1 mile pace.
Yep
🤣 same

so my 5k runs are like 26min - 29min and I am looking to improve, will these warms up tire me out or help? (Seeing as I am at a very lower level?)
