Or he like escapes once, and then he is put back in prison after Jake just accidentally comes across him while tracking a different cannibal, except he stumbles upon Caleb instead, who nobody realuzed escaped because everyone thought he'd been eaten himself by his new protected custody cellmate, who was also a cannibal. Except instead, he bit off a few of his toes and a finger, maybe in a short clip where he is like "man, I hate toes" and then he bends forward out of frame and it cuts to jake's horrified face as Caleb explains how he then rubbed the stumps on his cellmate's sleeping face before he climbed out through the ceiling panels. And then the next season they visit him in his new gouse because he was released for some reason and he is like " yeah no I don't eat people anymore, I left that behind." But when Jake wants to go into the kitchen Caleb's like "NO! Erhem, I meant: no, you don't wanna go in there. I have horrible sewage problems in the sink plumbing, it smells like the inside of a toddler's colon" and jake is like " why do you know what that smells like? You know what, I don't want to know" as in the background some blood begins to seep under the door, and then Jake just leaves

This show's humour and timing does a really good job at masking the dark parts of society
plot twist: Caleb was trying to eat Jake the whole time, he was just pretending to be friendly and waiting. (He is not good at eating adult) You can see how the moment he knew Jake is leaving he revealed his true self.

I honestly feel that Jake and Doug Judy are probably closer than Jake and Boyle. Not that Jake and Boyle don't look out for each other, but Jake and Doug's relationship is so much more fun and they both seem to genuinely enjoy each other's company. I feel there are times when Jake kinda takes advantage of Boyle's innocence and devotion towards him. Just my opinion
