- a compilation of jingles chris rainbow did for capital radio between 1974 and 1975. outside of the "capital radio" jingle before the "bye bye" jingle at the end which my friend elora found during one of our many torturous jingle hunts, this is not my own compilation, i took this from ukjingles on soundcloud. apologies to them for taking their collection. anoraks please be kind to me i'm just trying to spread the good music of chris rainbow
if any of you jingle anoraks know of any more chris rainbow jingles or have any of these in higher quality and are kind enough to share, let me know!
Amazing Jingles! Chris Rainbow's Capital Radio 194 jingles in 1976 left Radio 1way behind!
Chris Rainbow was was an underrated genius. Gone but not forgotten, I hope he’s making music in Heaven now. RIP Chris.
Absolutely. Couldn't agree more. Thankfully, Kenny Everett recognised his genius.
Priceless - and appreciated. (And remembered with affection).
Thanks for uploading this. Perfect memories of the best times.
cee oh dee, cee oh dee, cee oh dee, cee oh dee - cash on delivery!
I went in for that quiz when I was 16, and as well as Dave Cash I met Kenny Everett - and Telly Savalas, who was there to be interviewed by Michael Aspel that day. What a day! I didn't do very well, sadly. Won two pounds fifty though, my bus fare home.

Until now I thought that first Michael Aspel jingle was by Kenny Everett
hm. listening to this again i think that second michael aspel jingle might be kenny everett? the rest are definitely chris though. i do need to update this anyway i've found two jingles since i uploaded it, i just never bothered to make a new compilation since i ripped this from a guy i met on jinglemad haha
my two favorites: 4:49 and 6:45
Better than Freddie Mercury. A complete genius of overdub voice.
