I am a fourteen, almost fifteen year old male. I possibly have depression, and have the possibility that several people in my family has cancer. My mother was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 or 16, i dont remember exactly. I have been playing minecraft since 2014, my older brother got it for his birthday, and I started playing not long after. I have never really been on the the internet until 2019, so i always turned to my brother for updates for the game. I stopped playing late 2019 to early 2020, and have recently been revisiting my old xbox360 worlds. And hearing his, it just broke the dam, from what started as, "oh, i want to relax a bit, let me turn on the minecraft ost" ended up with me in full tears. I'll let you know this, I do not cry easily. So this, this... I have no words for this, that is how much i miss the old days, the worry free days before Covid 19, before lockdown and quarantine. Third most nostalgic song on my top 5. Mice on venus Sweden Clark Moog city Subwoofer Lullaby Cheers to you, Minecraft, for 11 years of great memories!
I feel like Mice on Venus is saddest in beginning, then it has a shift which shows it doesn’t end all bad, and that things continue in their own unique way and that you must appreciate each unique experience
This reminds me of when I was hiding in one of the houses in the PS3 tu17 tutorial castle and it was night time and raining. I remember being scared of the zombies skeletons and spiders waiting for me to come outside and then this music would always start playing and then I would just look at the night sky and the stars while seeing the shades of orange blue and yellow blend with the shades of blue and black as the sun started to rise and I could remember walking by the edge of the wall and seeing the torches lined up.
This describes a feeling of loneliness and being the only real human being in the whole world. Whenever this starts playing, steve reflects on the fact there is never going to be someone to help him out and he will stay here for the rest of his life. After traveling so far and achieving everything the player wished for, Steve’s time has come and he can finally rest. Until the player starts a new world

I remember I’d play in creative mode, go up to a snowy mountain at night. This music played. My young self couldn’t keep the music on because of the sense of loneliness this song inflicted. But now listening... I cherish the feeling of it. It sounds like peace. Not like the absence of war. But just simple, ignorance of the troubles. Calm...
Honestly, without this song, minecraft would never be the same. The last time I heard this song was 1.7.3 Beta. Frankly, it deserves to be played at my funeral.
It's such a cathartic experience, it can be really relaxing. The gloomy rainy atmosphere with this music is more inspiring than depressing to me, it brings back my child-like wonder
I’m glad people are coming back to these songs and sharing nostalgic stories. I remember when I felt nostalgic for this music and no one understood why but now more people are revisiting their childhoods and appreciating C418’s work
*The year is 2070. I sit in my cotton recliner while my granddaughter, Sam, is showing me all of her gaming equipment. Suddenly, she finds a console she doesn’t recognize.* “Hey, grandpa! What’s this?” *Sam asks, pointing at the console. I smile, remembering many things from my past.* “Ah! That’s my old Xbox ! That is my favorite childhood console!” *I explain. Sam smiles at me and looks at the console again.* “Does it still work? I would like to play.” *Sam asks. I smile and begin to set up the console. I turn it on and, somehow, it still works after all these years. The room is illuminated by the green glow of the welcome screen. I log in to my profile and we look through the games. Sam points out a game and I open it. Serotonin washes over me as the room is illuminated with the orange glow of the Mojang loading screen. I once again log in, select a world called ‘School’, and allow it to load. The world loads and I am greeted my the delighted mews of my cat, Thackery Binx. I begin to explore the world, sad that I was never able to finish building what I had started so long ago.* “Grandpa, what is all this?” *Sam asks. I just smile and say to her,* “Let me introduce you to the wonderful world of Minecraft.”
I wonder if HDMI cables will still exist in 2070, if not then you’d have to get an adapter to connect your then 50+ year old Xbox to your TV because who knows what‘ll happen in the future maybe there’ll be a new different video input for TVs in 2070.
Ahhh... I remember hearing this all the way back to when I played the free browser-based version of classic. I was always in one of those freebuild servers. SO NOSTALGIC, MAN. MY FEELS ARE TOO POWERFUL, MAN.

I just want to appreciate, When we placed our first block, When we made a house for the first time, When we found our first diamond, When we went to the nether for the first time, When we beat the game, When we placed our final block. Every gamer whos heard this soundtrack has at least had to cry from listening to this. Minecraft is a game of Joy, Happiness, and creativity, but recently Mojang has striped it away from us. So can we all have a moment to think about all our memories, and be bittersweet about it.
I remember the first time I heard this. I was playing on a tutorial world in creative with my brother. It made me think about how this was even composed. All the while, the castle was being covered in lava.
Building your first wooden house, only a cube comprised of other cubes, felt like an achievement nonetheless. From the start of the first wall to the final placement of the door, you worked for this. You achieved this. This is your own.
Minecraft is a good memory for me, but also a painful one. I didn’t know how to connect to a friends world on PC, so every time I played, I was alone. The songs always made me aware of that. But, in a way, they also made me feel like being alone wasn’t that bad. Or at least that’s what I wanted to believe… This feeling of being alone but being “ok”…it encapsulates my childhood so well.

DOG: Wait, does that mean that he is going on an adventure because he became stronger or he is bringing a suprise for us like beef for me and fish for you last time or- CAT: He is not coming back to us anymore...... he is not coming back..... DOG: But why? I though we were always his favorite pets, he took care of us all the time and still remember we always fight along side with him fighting zombies, skeleton, creeper- CAT: Because he have so much things to do now and probably have someone much more important than us to take care of. DOG: But.... I missed him..... I really missed him * dripping in tears * CAT: Its okay.... dont cry..... lets just live our best here without him.... thanks to him we learned a lot from him..... we though we were just surviving but instead we are making memories. DOG: Alright then.... bye Steve I will miss you..... CAT AND DOG: * Stares at the sunset *
We might have got so many cool updates. We think these can last forever. but sometime the good one are gone Remember when this played on a brand new fresh world, you mine your first block then after you hide underground with 3block deep and 1 to cover the top to wait for the day. *"I will mayby be not here anymore, but i will be alway with you in your heart"*
ah yes Clark the villager my old friend, I am back to hear you. this music is your voice and your voice is music to all of us. we thank you for bringing us this wonderful nostalgia and peace. you have created loads of memories, thank you Clark.
I used to play this game with my cousin when we were younger. I never thought much of the music then, but I do now. I no longer have the game and the Xbox we played on died years ago, so I can't go back to those old maps we created and have a nostalgic field day of just remembrance.
did you ever back up those worlds to your microsoft or mojang account? (there might not have been an option to do that. i started playing this last year.)
I have the same problem, except that I started directly on pc I had a cracked version of the game that had the 1.4.7 installed. Problem is that the old computer that had it and that old launcher are gone, so I feel shitty knowing that I can only remember my worlds by memory
I"ll never forget the first time i heard this track. This was about 10 years ago when I played Alpha 1.1.2_01. My first world was a snow world. I spawned in, had a brief getting started guide and that's about it. From there I found a cave and set up shop. This cave was deep. I was so scared to go venturing deeper in, but eventually, sword and torches in hand, i conquered my fears and cleared out this are of the cave i was in. It was so rewarding, and I felt powerful. Jump forward a bit later, I needed to go explore deeper, and deeper into this cave. So I did. I caved, dug deeper in. Eventually I found bedrock layer. I had all this loot, iron, gold and a couple diamond. I started venturing back, but I got lost. I didn't properly make an easy way to find a way back to my little cave base, so eventually I gave up and started digging back out to the surface. I was low on pork chop, health was dangerously low and I needed my home. I dug up, dug dug dug and eventually, i found myself outside, on top of a mountain. Middle of the night, low render distance with snow falling. I was totally lost. Then Clark played. I climbed down the mountain, slowly and carefully and started to wander, hopefully to try and maybe run into my home. This song, I always remember about being lost, wandering this infinite world attempting to find my home, where I'm safe. The last thing I remember was wandering inside the forest, and as the song ended, a zombie struck me.
My first world created in beta 1.3_01, and I spawned in beach, I builded the barn, barn Is my house, but 6 months later my mother noticed I was playing minecraft, delete minecraft:(
I just wanna go back to 2013, everything was so simple, this song reminds me of times when I didn’t have to worry, when I wasn’t constantly stressed because of classes and sports. I want to go back to when the only thing I had to worry about all day was finishing my builds
This song makes me remember the crazy memories I made playing three player split screen with my sisters on my PlayStation 3. It felt like yesterday but when in reality, it was 6 years ago. I remember the world we created and we built a huge quartz mansion. We also built a brick house, a bedrock house, a house filled with creepers. We also built a giant pit that we kept blowing up with tnt. This song reminded me of the memories we made playing together. I just remember the laughing and happiness in our voices because we had so much fun. Now, when I play it alone, it really isn’t the same anymore. This song made me very happy
The first world The first wood The first zombie The first mob The first house The first portal The first regequit The first dragon Hey get on after school Let’s go get some diamonds man Love this song it makes me be thankful that I had a good childhood and I still am
This reminds me of 2013, christmas, I had just gotten my first laptop, my dad bought me Minecraft and I immediately started a world, I played 3 years on that world. Sadly my laptop broke and I will never get to experience that world again.
I remember when I was 12 (now I'm 25) I used to play with my big brother on a local server. A server that we made trying so hard mimicking the big ones. All my daily routine what type of plugin a server I joined before they used just to install it and have fun with my big brother. The only thing once I wake up is Minecraft. I don't know when, but there's that one day I stopped playing it not because I only felt bored. I think because when life hit hard on me I quit everything and I don't feel the same passion like before towards video games especially Minecraft. I never hated the game, and the evidence is that I always download it on any PC I use even if I'm not playing, just in case I want to escape or if I want to end it. I immediately play at least for 1 hour to forget the pain I feel in my chest all the day. Mojang didn't made a game, they made a life for me. I thank my old friend that I don't have contact now for telling me about this masterpiece, I really appreciate it. I won't forget the memories about this game, I'll cherish it forever.
You go out of your house to go get some resources, you've been away all day and come back at night. You make your way back home, all hungry and dirty. There is a light in the distance, you try to recognize what it could be. As you come closer you notice that it's your house, burning. The house you've put so much effort in. It's gone, just ash and a few blocks are left. Everything has burned down to nothing. You try to find anything valuable that's not burnt down but there is just nothing left... All you got now is what you have in your inventory. After accepting your fate, you go and search for a new, refreshing place to live now. [Continue the story guys :)]

This song. This song. Man, just the beginning of the song hits me harder than a brick and I'm not even 13 yet. I remember when we used to live in this house, and this house I miss a lot. This song and many in the soundtrack like it remind me of that house. Getting my first scooter in that house. Dying my hair red in that house. Going to school at that house. Watching my older siblings play the PS3 edition of Minecraft and be fascinated by this beautiful, block world, with the perfect mix of simplified and complexity, while this masterpiece of piano and violin and other soft instruments play in the background as Steve and Alex and whoever my siblings play as wonder around this block world. Even then, with the abundance of songs in the soundtrack that make me feel that way, this hits the hardest. Perhaps it resonates with me in a way that it is more powerful than all the others. The violin that plays it's soft melodies encapsulates the walls, the doors, the lights, the everything of that house. Whenever I go to bed and this song plays, I cry. I want to go back there. I want to go back home. I want to go back where I feel most where I belong. But I can't. And this song perfectly encapsulates that. I know I'll never be able to be in a house like that ever again, but that's okay. All good things must come to a end, like the soft melodies of the violin and the piano singing it's most beautiful melodies in the background.
This was the first-ever song I heard when I join my brother's PS3 Minecraft world in 2013. I'm typing this through tears RN cause he almost took his life and now I don't see him that much anymore.
*This was the first song I heard in Minecraft.* I remember getting onto the f2p servers and seeing *builds* as far as the eye could see, overlapping each other in a chaotic, yet strangely beautiful collage. I'd fall into a hole, and there was an entire underground civilization there building away. Seeing that, I knew I loved this game. I wanted to explore, *and to create.*
Have you ever wondered. What would it be like without minecraft? Yes. It wouldn't have brought so many memories. Adventures. Cave mining. Building with friends. But thanks to the man who made this game gave us everything. If you forgot what it feels like to young again. Remember the times you played minecraft.
A yes a quiet morning of young 2015 me listening to this music on 2 massive speakers at quiet volume whilst playing Minecraft Xbox 360 edition on a 720P 2006 projector whilst only hearing the music and the fan noise of my Xbox 360. Take me back to those days with the knowledge and age of me now. . .
I'm gonna be honest here for the sake of it. I'm young, I'm 11, i always used to convince my parents to buy me minecraft when i was little. Even tho they didn't, i used to pirate it or buy knock-offs of it. One time, I think i was 4 or 5, my teenager cousin let me play mc on his computer every time i came to his house. He stopped now, since he grew up. And even tho i wasn't able to experience the joys of minecraft all that much, i find this and all the other soundtracks of minecraft extremely sad and nostalgic. It makes me feel a feeling i never felt before. It's like appreciation, love, sadness and joy mixed together. Thank you Minecraft for making our lives just a little bit better... or even more. I absolutely have all of my respect for Notch, the creators, the developers, and c418 for making the game and the soundtracks. Minecraft doesen't feel the same without the soundtracks. You're in a vast, empty world, all alone. You can do whatever you want. But the beauty of this empty world is that even tho you're alone, you can enjoy this loneliness. It's peaceful and calm. You have thousands of seeds to explore, and since minecraft worlds are infinte, every new world you make, you see something different in it, something unique about every seed. I feel like nowadays minecraft has been ruined by tons of people. People make cringey videos about it, even porn on it, but ignoring all that... minecraft is probably the most beatiful and most nostalgic thing i ever had and will feel in my entire life. Minecraft is not like any other game, it's what makes it special. I have a place for minecraft in my heart, and that place will never be replaced with anything else. And the most beatiful thing about minecraft is that everyone can enjoy it. Little kids? Yes. Teens? Yes. Even adults? Yes. Everyone. Minecraft is not childish but its also not made exactly for mature people, so that everyone can play it. Once again... Thank you, Minecraft.
I remember playing with my cousin, in our world, an argument would spark, if we should make the village out of spruce or oak. During the silence that had followed our argument, this would play. As we silently started collecting materials for the castle we were going to build for our Oldest LemerCraft server.
All those times I've been wandering around and just joking with friends in calls while jumping everywhere. Those were the best times, especially knowing that it was happening for the 1000th time, it could be a new server or an old one but it doesn't matter since the memories you've made within this game it will always remind you that Minecraft made your childhood. Still wish that I cherished it more, but at the end of the day we shouldn't be sad but be glad it happened.
This is the classic sound of your childhood being perfect And my childhood Was perfect Thank you dad When we used to play together on the ps3 When uncle Luke come to play too Thank you dad For the best childhood

Living mice is one of mine best because sweden is a litle bit too obvious...
Maybe an unpopular opinion but it’s gotta be aria math because of years of playing creative
The theme song is missing.
This is the saddest sounding song in minecraft in my opinion
Ur opinion is correct
I feel like Mice on Venus is saddest in beginning, then it has a shift which shows it doesn’t end all bad, and that things continue in their own unique way and that you must appreciate each unique experience
oh yeah the beginning is so nostalgic and reminds me of the world that id play on for hours

This music reminds me when I first played minecraft with music on console in 2013, I went looking for it and now I've found it :)
I started to play it when I was 3 - 4 years old. I am now 11. Thank my dad for getting me an XBOX and a phone.
Oladeji Sanyaolu :,)
This reminds me of when I was hiding in one of the houses in the PS3 tu17 tutorial castle and it was night time and raining. I remember being scared of the zombies skeletons and spiders waiting for me to come outside and then this music would always start playing and then I would just look at the night sky and the stars while seeing the shades of orange blue and yellow blend with the shades of blue and black as the sun started to rise and I could remember walking by the edge of the wall and seeing the torches lined up.
Same bro.
xbox 360 anyone??
This describes a feeling of loneliness and being the only real human being in the whole world. Whenever this starts playing, steve reflects on the fact there is never going to be someone to help him out and he will stay here for the rest of his life. After traveling so far and achieving everything the player wished for, Steve’s time has come and he can finally rest.

Not like the absence of war. But just simple, ignorance of the troubles. Calm...
The first song I ever listened to in minecraft. So many memories...
Honestly, without this song, minecraft would never be the same. The last time I heard this song was 1.7.3 Beta. Frankly, it deserves to be played at my funeral.

*The year is 2070. I sit in my cotton recliner while my granddaughter, Sam, is showing me all of her gaming equipment. Suddenly, she finds a console she doesn’t recognize.*
“Hey, grandpa! What’s this?” *Sam asks, pointing at the console. I smile, remembering many things from my past.*
“Ah! That’s my old Xbox ! That is my favorite childhood console!” *I explain. Sam smiles at me and looks at the console again.*
“Does it still work? I would like to play.” *Sam asks. I smile and begin to set up the console. I turn it on and, somehow, it still works after all these years. The room is illuminated by the green glow of the welcome screen. I log in to my profile and we look through the games. Sam points out a game and I open it. Serotonin washes over me as the room is illuminated with the orange glow of the Mojang loading screen. I once again log in, select a world called ‘School’, and allow it to load. The world loads and I am greeted my the delighted mews of my cat, Thackery Binx. I begin to explore the world, sad that I was never able to finish building what I had started so long ago.*
“Grandpa, what is all this?” *Sam asks. I just smile and say to her,*
“Let me introduce you to the wonderful world of Minecraft.”
you actually plan on your granddaughters name being sam

Sorry, I had a hard time reading this comment through all the tears.
I wonder if HDMI cables will still exist in 2070, if not then you’d have to get an adapter to connect your then 50+ year old Xbox to your TV because who knows what‘ll happen in the future maybe there’ll be a new different video input for TVs in 2070.

Minecraft is a good memory for me, but also a painful one. I didn’t know how to connect to a friends world on PC, so every time I played, I was alone. The songs always made me aware of that.

You think you guys had it bad? Try having 5 years worth of gaming gone in about 30 minutes because of a corruption error during data transfer.
@@dualitywolfie LOL i can relate to this
I"ll never forget the first time i heard this track.

“Don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened “
This song.
This is relaxing, stressful, worrying and calming at the same time
This was the first-ever song I heard when I join my brother's PS3 Minecraft world in 2013.

Take me back to those days with the knowledge and age of me now. . .
This is one of the most nostalgic songs that rivals even Sweden in terms of nonstalgia
This music is literally perfect

I remember playing with my cousin, in our world, an argument would spark, if we should make the village out of spruce or oak. During the silence that had followed our argument, this would play. As we silently started collecting materials for the castle we were going to build for our Oldest LemerCraft server.
Definitely the most underrated mc song. Literal goosebumps
Thank you C418 for creating such nostalgic things

Minecraft music just gives a different feel, you know? Playing with your friends, building your first house with them.. It's so... amazing I guess.
This is the classic sound of your childhood being perfect
