Vergil 3 is hands down one of the most adrenaline infused - difficult but fair - bossfights in existence. You can learn the fight in its entirety and even still the only moment you can really taunt is right after his vulnerability state ends. There is no downtime during the fight, and yet he never layers attacks in such a way where damage is unavoidable.
Everyone was so hype about style switching they didn't think about weapon switching. Having all 5 weapons at all times is a huge deal for this game. Thank you for showing it off!
The only cons to free weapons switching is the fact we can't select which weapon to wear and which to wear off :( Because for my part : i want to only wear Ebony and Ivory and Kalina ann and all weapons beside nevan ^^
@@adam622500 You can still hold the switch button and use the right analog stick to quickly change guns. It isn't as ideal as being able to exclude weapons in addition and could use some tweaks, but it also works for Devil Arms.

Guts to be fair DMC 5 was known about by 2015, and Platinum had/has other projects happening (Astral Chain, Wonderful 101 had apparently been pretty good to go for a while) with a much smaller team and Bayo has to now exist in a world where many people, casual and hardcore, will point to DMC5 as not only Max Acting its expectations but being the perfect action game in general. Knowing how Platinum is, I’m pretty sure they care more about trying to make just as much an impression with Bayo 3 and not just stay in their lane with it. If that means saying “it’s happening” and going dark while the devs go crazy and put out a sick product I’m fine with it.

As soon as i downloaded the game and saw the Free Style mode my first tought was: “oh boy, donguri’s gonna have a lot of fun with it”. And i was not mistaken 😅 Can’t wait to see what more crazy things you will do with it!
You know, I always felt like Dante was meant to have all 6 styles (the main 4 at least) accessible at all times in the original game based on how Vergil fights. Vergil essentially has all 4 styles in boss fights. Trickster being his teleports, Swordmaster is his attacks obviously, Gunslinger is his summon sword formations and Royal Guard being his sword block. This version feels like it completes dmc3 rather than adds extra stuff to it and Vergil fights actually feel like you are his equal in terms of ability. Some say style switcher makes 3 a cakewalk but if you dont know how to style switch effectively, its still hard as balls.
Yep, it's still hard as fuck. Can confirm, especially since Switch DMC3 is my first time actually playing DMC3. Headline: "Avid Devil May Cry fan excited to play DMC3 for the first time."
One thing we don't talk about often is the idea of playing for survival (jumping back and shooting guns, looping the same safe option) or playing for style. DMC3 becomes harder if you try to play for style and apply the new skills even if they may make you a better player eventually. If you try to take just one small part of it like RG cancelling an attack, that still takes work to balance with your other skills. On Vergil, I wish they gave him the full kit with that block. Everything else is represented and they don't need to make anything new. That and the swordspin as a defensive option where he can still summon swords.
I hope DmC 6 is just as insanely hard, just started playing DmC recently with 5, and while I expected to have a crazy difficult time learning to play Dante, he’s easily my favorite character and I play as him whenever possible. It’s gotten to the point where I can get SSS just by playing because I’ve naturally gotten to the point where I play that way.
@@thegrapethief5514 probably won't happen since direction of newer games are for them to be more piss easy. Dmc 5 is wayyy more easier than the earlier games. Since alot of tech was sorta dumbed down to make it easier. Dmc 6 will probably be the same way.

DmC has consistently been harder than most other action games and I’d say 5 still fits that bill. Tbh, dmc 3 is the first devil may cry game that I own, and you couldn't know how happy and excited I am playing this. Truly ahead of its time, imo. I'm a good player of the DMC games fond of them too, but if someone asked me could I challenge donguri I can say with honesty hes outta my league. Would be nice if I could play the game with him absolutely, but to challenge? I say try pushing a boulder over a mountain. round or not it will hurt. It takes far too much discipline to execute such a maneuver. I've been playing nearly as long as he has 2007 if I remember correctly, but he has more freedom on these characters than me. I see myself as a drill Sargent vs him that is on like General or colonel levels. He far exceeds me. I cant face that. Co-op absolutely, rival no.

Yep, the PC version with mods can do this and more (no Radial Menu though) but if you want it on console/portable officially... Switch is the way to go.
I played this for the first time after doing 5 and having missed 3 and 4 after playing 1 and 2 as a kid. That echoing 'Dante...' at the end is so fucking cool. Everything about this game is so fucking cool. I get why people love it so much now.
That "Twins.. right." line hits a little different when you consider Vergil's mindset based on what V reveals about himself. Dante basically makes an appeal to family.. that they're brothers, that they should feel the same.. but ultimately all Vergil can think of in regards to their relationship is that he was abandoned. In his mind, how can they be twins if only one of them was saved? Basically that moment is Vergil's desperate attempt at severing ties with his brother, thinking it will make him stronger for the doing so.
No wonder canonically Vergil lost to Dante. The Bast*rd's got 5 Different super powered weapons, each with unique abilities of its own; super powered dual handguns, a powerful shotgun, a rifle with penetrative ability, a super powered demonic gun that can shoot demonic laser balls, a bazooka, all with infinite ammunition and all can be super charged with his demonic powers; can move so fast that it feels like he's teleporting, can f**king slow down time, can make a duplicate of himself, has special ability with which his super powered weapons can be enhanced furthermore, has special ability with which his guns can also be enhanced, can f**king blow up with demon energy causing massive damage to nearby enemies(DT Bomb), can go to super charged devil triggered form which not only amplifies everything but also gives unique extra boosts based on the devil arm equipped at the moment.... I mean... poor vergil didn't stand a chance.....

Shush man. They must not know. An ai cloning donguri skills. Do you have a death wish? I am not facing that. An enemy for his level is suicidal. The most talented players will find it arduous to beat.

@@stormcutter59 I know where you're coming from. I was referring to in the time being of trying to keep up. I'm a good player of the DMC games fond of them too, but if someone asked me could I challenge donguri I can say with honesty hes outta my league. Would be nice if I could play the game with him absolutely, but to challenge? I say try pushing a boulder over a mountain. round or not it will hurt. It takes far too much discipline to execute such a maneuver. I've been playing nearly as long as he has 2007 if I remember correctly, but he has more freedom on these characters than me. I see myself as a drill Sargent vs him that is on like General or colonel levels. He far exceeds me. I cant face that. Co-op absolutely, rival no.
I like how Dante literally never uses quicksilver style again after this point in time.
Whenever Dante teleports in his attacks, he is basically using quicksilver.

@@spectacularnub3468 Later game Trickster style has incorporated the Quicksilver. Lets pretend that. Dante only learn to teleport because he can slow down time for a brief period. While Vergil can teleport, because Yamato is overpowered and cut through space itself.

@@diephoainambui9682 Doppelganger is not very powerful against god level beings. Its for dealing with crowds of weak demons. For some reason, Vergil prefers using doppelganger while Dante prefers himself only.

Yep, the PC version with mods can do this and more (no Radial Menu though) but if you want it on console/portable officially... Switch is the way to go.
@@thelastgogeta my problem with mods is that i can't figure out how to apply them and plus its technically cheating seeing as the game doesnt allow it
@@plaguedoctorj.c4963 Well now that the Switch version allows it, modding the PC version to do the same is no longer cheating is it :D
@@Copperhell144 the problem with pc mod is i can't unlock weapons in game, but i have to activate it like cheats (and some bugs to me)

I played this for the first time after doing 5 and having missed 3 and 4 after playing 1 and 2 as a kid. That echoing 'Dante...' at the end is so fucking cool. Everything about this game is so fucking cool. I get why people love it so much now.

That "Twins.. right." line hits a little different when you consider Vergil's mindset based on what V reveals about himself. Dante basically makes an appeal to family.. that they're brothers, that they should feel the same.. but ultimately all Vergil can think of in regards to their relationship is that he was abandoned. In his mind, how can they be twins if only one of them was saved? Basically that moment is Vergil's desperate attempt at severing ties with his brother, thinking it will make him stronger for the doing so.

The Bast*rd's got 5 Different super powered weapons, each with unique abilities of its own; super powered dual handguns, a powerful shotgun, a rifle with penetrative ability, a super powered demonic gun that can shoot demonic laser balls, a bazooka, all with infinite ammunition and all can be super charged with his demonic powers; can move so fast that it feels like he's teleporting, can f**king slow down time, can make a duplicate of himself, has special ability with which his super powered weapons can be enhanced furthermore, has special ability with which his guns can also be enhanced, can f**king blow up with demon energy causing massive damage to nearby enemies(DT Bomb), can go to super charged devil triggered form which not only amplifies everything but also gives unique extra boosts based on the devil arm equipped at the moment.... I mean... poor vergil didn't stand a chance.....
