- It’s eighteen weeks into the project, I'm trying to get the house walls free of vegetation to start rebuilding.

Kittens 🙆🏻♀️. You got at least one girl with the calico's coat of many colors. The little black seems very into the human photographing them. Hope they can stick around and help with pest control. Probably would benefit all around from neutering/spaying them when they're old enough.

As I watch, I sometimes wonder, how are your thoughts from when your were a child? From how the farm was, to how you will rebuild it and make improvements. Thank you for sharing your journey. You have experience and knowledge that is long lost to so many. Some things that you think may not be interesting are valuable lessons for others. Honouring the past and bringing it into the present is a very interesting project.

what's the purpose of the wiping tile ,when you're dumping dirt on top instead of gravel stone!!
Thanks for the question. The soil there is a kind of corse sand, we call saibro. It’s very permeable and will take centuries before enough fine sediment migrates into the tile to clog it. Not sure the tile will last that long.
Are you going to adopt the kitten? Or maybe it`ll be the other way round...
