Our Brood XIX cicadas just finished up in southern North Carolina. If you've never lived through these, it's hard to believe that the sound can literally be so loud that you can't tolerate being outside.. especially if you live in/near the woods, like we do. Looking forward to seeing you outside in a couple weeks!

I will wear anything any time of year. While my preferences are much more winter/ fall, I find if I wear those type of fragrances in summer the heat really amps up the fragrance. I generally don’t go for heavy fragrances so it works out well.

I love both orange blossom and neroli scents, but O Feminin was a scrubber for me. I really can’t say what was so unpleasant about it, but it just was disgusting. On the other hand, I know that Killian’s Can’t Stop Loving You was panned all over UA-cam as boring and meh, but to me it very quickly rose to one of my favorites of all time. I feel like it’s actually top three for me now, out of a pretty sizable collection. I don’t even know how to describe it, but the best I can do is fancy, thick book pages smeared with honey- but the natural type, the one that is almost white and is so thick that it has a crumbling consistency, so it doesn’t really give off too much scent or sweetness. As it dries down, it becomes an unlit stick of fresh incense, but it’s a beige incense- like a fresh stick of Nag Champa. Not in any way hippie or skanky though, but if you ever smelled a recently made Indian incense stick, that’s the scent.

That is the way Xerjoff Dama Bianca is to me. Desperately wanted to love it but it is a hard pass, scrubber and awful on my skin.
I've been dying to try it, but haven't been able to find it in any of my local niche perfumeries. Did you find it somewhere in Poland? Please let me know.
@@ScentedSab I actually live in the US, so O Feminin decant came from ScentSplit, and I smelled Can't Stop Loving You at a local Sephora.

Queening ended up being my favorite scent this past winter, so I've been wearing lots of Caissa! (My 2 full bottles from Mind Games so far.) I have a Scent Bird subscription, so I also have travel sizes of J'adoube, Checkmate, Lionora, Blockade - all of which I love. I agree with you that this whole line is beautiful. If only I had the $$$ to buy them all!
I've also been wearing a lot of Dolce Melodia, Poets of Berlin, Lust in Paradise, and Ambra Calabria.
And I've started pulling out my Oud Jaune Intense.
Excited to really start leaning into my more "tropical" fragrances.
Oh my gosh you are wearing some amazing ones! And Scentbird is awesome! Perfect for an expensive perfume I enjoy but may not need or want to purchase a FB of.
@@ThePerfumeNest Exactly! I've really grown to love Scentbird because it gives me the opportunity to have a huge variety of fragrances and to really get to live in them to decide which are full-bottle worthy.
My favorite fruity fragrance for June is Birth of Venus Argos, I also adore Lattafa LEEN for a mango floral, and I am also reaching for PMC Ylang Ylang Nosy Be. Poets of Berlin is a vanilla I reach for when weather gets warmer and I finally purchased Arquiste Architects Club and have that to wear this summer as well!

I am obsessed with Poets of Berlin. It has become one of my top favorites that I'll wear all year. Loved wearing it through Spring. Queening was my #1 all winter, but I haven't tried wearing it in the warmer weather yet...

@@raquelrodriguez5672 Birth of Venus is a wonderful fruity fragrance, I get Peach, Bergamot and I think raspberry and Osmanthus. The longer I've had the fragrance I do pick up a small amount of a chocolate note and of course the base has mysore sandalwood, I also think I get cedar. I think the note break down also says Jasmine and Tuberose in the mid, but I don't get them at all on my skin. The fruit lasts all day on me and clothes I can smell it the next day.

Btw we had such bad noisy deafening cicadas at our last acreage property! They were quiet only on cloudy or rainy days, and of course at night.

Chris, O feminine was "No feminine" for me. I loved how you made it sound so good I decided to get a 10ml from scent angel. But what I learned is I'm not a fan of orange blossom. Had an off putting greeness on my skin. Most fragrance smells good on my skin but this one is not full bottle worthy for me . I kept hearing you in my "don't blind buy" , so for that in thankful.❤❤❤
Yes. This one has been wildly popular for the brand. Their most successful launch since Ylang In Gold and in the comments., 99.9 % have been overwhelmingly positive. BUT if you don’t like orange blossom or neroli (or pettigrain….thats the green) you will NOT enjoy this. Good for you for only buying 10 ml. It’s heaven to me. I’m obsessed. No go sell your decant on Mercari. 🤣💕

Sure. I do it all the time. You don’t want a perfume by itself sitting on the porch on the sun for days on end (or a hot car for that matter). But in a PO or warehouse or UPS truck for a day or so will not destroy a perfume. 💕
I’m dying to try the Micaleff as I love orange blossom. Say, have you tried Milky Dragon from LuckyScent? It’s a tea fragrance that I’m finding so comforting on laid back days. It’s a little lactonic with butter also. I think you just might like it. I’m really enjoying it anyway.

Absolutely obsessed with Narco Oasis. I just got a decant of Dolce Melodia and it doesn't list passionfruit as a note but that's what I get - it's like 100 Silent Ways and Narco Oasis had a love child.

I’ve been waiting for summer to really start wearing my Mango Skin by Vilhelm, and I love Nuda Veritas by Atelier des Ors for hot weather. I also just sampled Casa Blanca by House of Bo and it’s such a luxe spa/hotel banger - I’m going to wear that to death once I get the full bottle 🤍

I have a decant of Notbing but Sea or sky and it is very fresh and nice, so easy to wear. But on me, I don’t get any sandalwood. It’s mostly yellow florals and musk. I know that yellow florals are not listed but it get them so strong, it’s lovely

O Feminine was such a disappointment for me! 😭😭 I got a small decant recently and it smells awful on my skin. Just goes to show how important sampling is. I’m just sad. 😞

Where do most 'normal" people smell these perfumes without blind buying these perfumes? Or without buying small samples? I watch A LOT A Lot of perfume influncers because I ❤ lovvvve ❤ fragrances but most of them ... of I've never been able to smell as I am sure that is the case with a lot of people. I am not picky though.

Blanche Bete IS amazing! I don't blind buy any perfumes, I buy samples first of perfumes that sound good to me that an influencer talks about. There are quite a few sites out there that have samples. Lucky Scent is my favorite.

It is hard for me to buy samples knowing I am an oversprayer and I would use about $7 in .1 second and then use another vial.... and maybe another 😬 😬 yes.. I know. Which is y I don't buy samples. Just wondering if people are hitting stores that I am unaware of... even though I have researched this. 🤪
@@beckyh6116 I buy samples to see if I even like the perfume, not as a replacement for a full bottle. Maybe you should check out Sephora, Ulta or high end department stores.

Don't feel awkward about giving PR perfumes honest reviews. PR people are well-aware that it's a bit of a gamble. Good publicists do their homework - they follow social media and youtube and know influencer's preferences. Ever wonder why you get so little PR that you actually hate? Besides, PR is the most cost-effective way for a company to get it's product out there at a fraction of the cost of advertising campaigns. The risk that you won't like it comes with the territory. (Long career in PR 😘).
