@@sternenherznormally episodes reach like 23 and a half minutes and it looks like this has been cut by like a minute or two. 3:00 Dang, that is so relatable. I remember when I was a kid, I thought the TV actually went silent when my mum started vacuuming - it was only when I walked up to the TV once when she did that that I realised otherwise.
Sorry but now do you bring it back 30 years later, do you give the tanners kids their own families or do you jump thirty years in technology with no explanation of how they are still young.
Some of the best lines were cut from the US version to shove in more ads 🙁. My favourite lines from this episode (which were cut) were when Willie & Kate discuss Dorothy's long stay & Willie says, "We've gotta try & pin her down, Kate" & ALF responds, "Good idea - I'll get the pins." Then later, when 'One World To Hope For' airs with ALF's script, Monica's husband & Butch mimic those lines, with Butch saying the comic line "Good idea - I'll get the pins" in a soap operaesque deadpan tone that sounds so inapt that it's hilarious.
Look like Grandma is quite forward, presumptuous, even rude. Alf was watching the television first. Then the old battle axe stepped in and took over. Where if Alf wasn't watching TV, the old battle axe would have kept vacuuming.
Dorothy says that reading script is silly. Throughout their long career together, Anne Meara and Jerry Stiller were famous for just writing general guidelines for their shows in advance and than simply improvising literally all of the dialogue. This helped them gain the reputation of most realistic looking comedy team in history, which they realy were. Too bad Jerry never made an appearance on ALF. On King of Queens, which co-starred Jerry, his on screen wife only appeared in one episode, being played by Anne Meara herself.
Not to mention that Jerry later appeared on Seinfeld as Frank Constanza, being in eternal feud with Jerry's parents. Jerry's mother was played by Liz Sheridan, who played Mrs Ochmonek on ALF.
Good mothers (most are good mothers) do everything for their children for at least 21 years, when the time comes for the children to be patient with their mother, the children don't have it, I call it INGRATITUDE!!! It's amazing how some adult children really treat their mother so badly and don't care about their mother's company... I always treated my mother with love even when she was difficult and bossy... I wish I had my mother coming to my house bringing gifts and making a delicious dinner... My mother is in heaven...
@@olodiandrew219she’s telling the truth though. Regardless if just because of a sitcom or not. My mom passed away when I was 33 and I wish she was here bugging the shit out of me!! My MIL comes here and there and I love it! She cooks, cleans, and does whatever she wants and I don’t say a dang word but, thank you so much!
When Kate sits down on the sofa and props her feet on the coffee table, the soles of her shoes are clean. Later in the same scene, when the camera shows her propped up feet again, there is black spot on the sole of her right shoe. Clearly she walked around between takes and something got on the bottom of her shoe.

AWESOME 😎👍💯 ALF IS VERY GOOD AND AWESOME TOO MY FRIEND
Lol Alf is hilarious. The things he says n the way he says them are too funny.
I blame all the 1970s and 80s sitcoms for my sentimentality. Lol the 90s brought in the jaded sitcoms
This episode is brilliant. Love the meta.
I am not leaving, why not?🤣🤣

Why it is censored? It's cut the part in the soap opera when they suggested that Willie was cheating on Kate with her mother.
Yeah, they cut some of the best lines out to make way for more ads when shown on US telly
It's called the "syndicated" version, but I'm not complaining I still very much enjoy these versions.
