Very well said and thoroughly written in only true things. Few have the gift to convey weighty topics in such succinct clarity (this one least of all!), or the much appreciated abstinence from superfluous noise & visuals.
In reading today's Gospel, I realized that I have read it without ever understanding what phylacteries were (or the meaning of the tassels). Thank you for your explanation and, even more importantly, for the purpose/meaning of how we are to live and how it goes beyond symbols. 🙏🙏🙏
Not for serving others, but for serving God from the heart, in the purity of worship. Serving others is one way to serve God. Serving others to serve God is the only true and right motive in serving others.
Awesome video. Good explanation of phylacteries and tassels and why they exist in the first place and how it applies to today. I am showing it to my Seminary students and doing a lesson on it. Thanks!
I thank God for the this Wonderful channel..Thank you for making such a adorable videos...And it's explanation is are very very good...It's very useful to me...God bless you and your team👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙋👌👌👌👌
It does not say he did, but he never condemns wearing one, only making them large to be seen by men, so likely he did. Today they only wear them during prayer, so that is likely the same for the time of Jesus.
Thanh Minh Still have not finished the video yet. I have so many videos in the works, but hopefully within a month or so. When finished I will post both videos and pictures of how I made it.
Well presented information thank you. Unless I'm mistaken, your script borrows from Alonzo Gaskill's work "The lost language of symbolism" on page 39. I think it would be good if you gave him credit in the comments or somewhere.
All my videos have the full text of the script in the link in the description, which always has footnotes to any source I might use or if I quote someone. It probably would have been good to put a note in the video, but UA-cam does not allow you to change. But as I mentioned, it is in the transcript.
The Law is to lead you to a savior. That is it's fading glory. Grace (Unmerited Favor) through the obedience of the one man (Jesus Christ) is our salvation. Don't live in the Galatian Church!
The middle finger is the longest, so it symbolizes that the law, being bound to the arm, becoming part of the person, then emanates from the person, and out through heir actions, represented by the longest finger.
So your Phylactery should be thinner and your Tzitzit shorter. and not be seen. This is still a real commandment unless you think the Word or God has passed away?
@@messagesofChrist I must unsubscribe. I didn't realize they were not Christian. I discerned something wrong, though. I liked some of the info, but in particular I discerned that the speaker seemed to have another spirit. I just happened upon this channel and am very glad to know to unsubscribe and pray demons of false doctrines leave me and mine and then I will command them, in Jesus Holy Name, to depart from us. I am sorry I opened myself up to mormanisn, but, thank The LORD God, He provides for the casting out of the demons and purification, in the holy Name of Jesus.
@Heir To The Promise I thought he didn't sound right or even seem right, but I was foolishly a little drawn in by his words. The more he talked the more uncomfortable I was with him.
Eight Bones Not all but most but it is because there’s this one verse in that talks to the them that means that people shouldn’t be Judaizers but I believe that was like forced circumcising .
The OT and NT says God will write the laws on men’s heart and give them His spirit to keep those laws. Those external traditions were only a foreshadowing of what God would do (have done) in the new covenant (Jer.31:33, Heb.10:16, Ez.11:19). Jesus went further to chastise the Pharisees for making their phylacteries very long to be a display to men and not to God (Matt.23.5). While I’m not bashing the outward adornment of religious garbs etc. it isn’t necessary if you’re fulfilling the law from an inward disposition.
In case you ever want to talk to a jew about tefillin, No jew calls them phylacteries, probably not even the King of Kings :) I see it in in KJV, As far as I know, PHY etc is some kind of Greek word for amulet.. BTW the tefillin contains words form the old testament, Torah.. I used to have a Hebrew holy scriptures translated into English, it would be cool to see the word used .. maybe it is tefillin :) God bless, Y'all!
Jesus wore both tefillin and tzitzit because he was Jewish and he never broke a law i don't know why they have pictures of Jesus looking like a long haired men he had a beard for sure because that's a law also and the romans pulled his beard it was mentioned in the Bible he might of had a payot which are the side hair that is grown out but Christians church got to stop having these false images of Jesus

Thank you. I had only a vague idea of what the frontlet was for and how it was worn. This video clarified it for me very well.
Glad it helped!

Somewhat excellent message in terms of spiritual.... Thanks brother.
Great video! I will be showing it to my Sunday School class.
Did Jesus wear a phylactory? Can you wear one while working as a carpenter?
It does not say he did, but he never condemns wearing one, only making them large to be seen by men, so likely he did. Today they only wear them during prayer, so that is likely the same for the time of Jesus.
@@messagesofChrist Have you seen recent shroud of Turin imaging that shows he had a phylactory when he was crucified?!

Where can i see more on the recreation of ancient tefillin?

Messages of Christ Awesome, i'll see it then
If you pause the video at 2:41 you will see those two in the white shirts are *NOT* Jewish, but are Mormons.
That's because they are Mormon, and so am I. A lot of my footage is showing Mormons, because that is who I have access to for videos.

Very helpful, I used this for my class.
But why do they choose to wrap the Saturn Finger, the Middle finger, and not any other finger?...
The middle finger is the longest, so it symbolizes that the law, being bound to the arm, becoming part of the person, then emanates from the person, and out through heir actions, represented by the longest finger.

Hi, can you tell me the name the movie used in the back ground. Thank you.
I assume you mean at 0:13 and 3:22? The clips are from Biblevideos.org
Hi! I’m assuming you’re LDS by the videos & church buildings etc? Thank you for sharing this it helps with my Sunday School lesson :)
