Absolutely love these videos,thank you so so much for putting them up!!!I remember being mesmerized by this series when it was on TV in the late 80's.I love the uncomplicated simplicity of the fishing,nowadays it's all about who has the most expensive rod and gear when,at the end of the day,if there are good numbers of salmon around they are caught with the simplest of flies and tackle,I also feel very sad watching it because that was probably the last great period of that beautiful fish being plentiful in our rivers,I hope for all our sakes we can work out a way to better protect the wonderful Salmo Salar

Thanks for putting the videos up. They are classics and have much more feel than modern fishing films i think. That fly that is called the Errif here in this vid, Is what i have always known as a Charlotte. And is one of only five patterns i use now. It is my go to fly in summer.

watch this as a kid funny how he was worring about a fly skateing thats why he fished the sinking line when on other rivers its deadly but this was back in the day but lee wuff would doing it for years then as well nice to watch it again away

I love what dick Warner says about salmon fishing at the end it's so true, can't explain it but being by a river with salmon in it is what ireland is about or should be!
