- When I first saw Toy Story 2 as a child and heard this song I ran into my bedroom crying and apologised to all of my soft toys for neglecting them! Randy Newman is such an amazing songwriter and this is definitely one of my favourites. The song has a different meaning for me now; my beloved grandma Maureen had Alzheimer's and died ten years ago at the age of 77. I still miss her constantly, she was such a kind and loving person, and I always sing this song with her in my mind and heart.
I'm gradually working out this whole audio recording thing. This is a live take with the voice and audio recorded on separate tracks; unfortunately the piano keys are a bit noisy but I've reduced it where I could.

I was afraid to watch this video as I knew it would make me cry, and it did. Such a sad song (and scene in the movie) but you sang and played it so beautifully! :)

Sorry for my slow reply. I feel like I've turned the corner a bit recently and that my voice is getting better and less fatigued. Still a bit of an ongoing battle but I think time and perseverance are doing the job. I might post a video about my exercises etc, I found other people's tips on UA-cam really helpful. Basically I've been doing a lot of speech therapy exercises (both strengthening ones and the ones to 'reset' my speech back to healthy phonation), meditation and massage

I teach music and do a bit of performing. I've had a vocal disorder the past few years that has made singing difficult, but it's a lot better now and I'm hoping to do more
