The REAL Lance Radiant (Starsector)

Everyone feels at least some kind of respect, when a 5 Tachyon Lance Radiant appears. This Radiant has 5 Tachyon Lances, 4 Phase Lances and 4 Rift Lances. This is the maximum possible Lance damage output of the current Vanilla Game (V0.95 RC 15). Sadly the high flux requirements and the Lack of Backside and Point Defense prevent use of this Radiant in real Battles. But it's still fun to use in the Simulator!

Indeed. An enemy radiant coming close is quite scary. Especially because they begin to get really aggressive when the own flux level rises.

@@Kohlenstoffkarbid true, its either you play chicken and pick it off from a distance, or overflux it so that it spends all of its charges just to kill it and that is IF you get past the horde of glimmers, brilliants, fulgents and fighters

Christ on a bike, this puts BURST in burst damage...might want to split the tachion lances from the lot so you can conviniently harass from distance and manage fulx more easily.

It - probably - really is better to wait till all in range and just power through. Tachs are probably about 40-50% of the flux usage here. There are similar tactics with like plasma cannon / ion blaster builds and such.

As fun as this looks the only reason it works is cause its a fukin Phase Skimmer ship. Most broken ability in the game on god.
