Skateboarding teaches you dedication, to love a person because of the brotherhood of skateboarding and not their skin, it helps you eat with those people later on when you are poor and you have nowhere to eat, you learn others culture and food by skateboarding with others. Mostly though, it teaches you to be tough, to get back up and to keep trying in life, and that feeling of freedom and working hard translates into society life, like work, making things, and other hobbies.
@@henrygiese6462 The long stretch of seven years was done years ago. It’s pretty well documented if you UA-cam it. He was technically in jail recently but that was for weed charges.

It's aight man when you in CDC you dissappear. Glad to see him reappearing tho. California prisons are nuts, he earned some of those tattoos I promise ya
Growing up in South Central I grew up around so many next up skateboarders, gang life and drugs pretty much almost knocked everybody off course,,, this is powerful 🙏🏽🙌🏽
Bro I hope Fabian’s story goes viral, I used to skate, be involved in a lot of messed up stuff similar to him, and knew I was in the wrong place and putting out the wrong energy. I work in a rehab and am interning to be a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) hopefully helping others. Stories like this keep me motivated to keep doing what I’m doing when I’m down. #Blessings
This was truly fucking awesome. I’m happy for Fabian.. I grew up skating around the dudes who would hit lockwood during the weekends, never talked to them. Just watched them skate like the fan I am. I give my boards away when I see a kid with a busted up deck.
This story touches my heart, truly. I relate and skateboarding has still been there for me. Blessedly I’m married now, have been for 2 years and have a infant daughter.
bout to serve a few years. feeling this in my soul man. shouldve stayed having fun and skateboarding but turned to drugs n crime. anyone out there watching and reading this if youre younger i wanna say that it doesnt take a lot to go down the wrong path. the whole time you think you know what youre doing then it hits you one day. dont "try to be cool" or do things that deep down you know you shouldnt. nothings wrong w smoking a little weed and relaxing. but stay focused . everythinng can change in a second man. stay connected to the friends who choose skateboarding over drugs/partying,etc..... you will thank yourself later
Awesome bro. Keep up the great work! I too have a past. Seeing shit like this keeps me inspired to reach out and help my community. It's been a year and a few months since i got out of some very dark times and i haven't gone back. God bless and love👍.
Dude I grew up watching fabian I love his style like trejo said he really is a cool ass dude hope he continues down this path and it only gets better glad too see him skating again and happy
So good 💯thank you Berrics for this story of Fabian Skateboarding helped me through tough times as a grom I’m 38 now still support kids today skateboarding 🛹 and doing it tough. Always out in the park with them or many are also multitalented whom not only skates but also love surfing like myself. I’m a men’s life coach by certification also health coach always out there pushing them to be better not only physically but mentally spiritually in themselves and to see life as a gift. That’s why I love what I do in all areas of my own life with surfing and skateboarding 🛹 it helped develop who I am today thank god I don’t think I’d be here today.
I saw everything skateboarding....but the passion of landing a trick felt better than drinking or smoking anything else. I love skateboarding! THANK YOU
I wish this mini doc went alittle longer and more in-depth like his Epicly Later’d Mence episode . But it’s awesome to see new old footage and storys he tells then before
This is real insperation man! I went to prison right in the height of my skating and went back and forth from addiction to multiple times back in jail. Now more then ten years later getting back into skating has lit a fire in me and has given me back my passion and joy I had when I was a kid before drugs and alcohol. I am teaching my girl how to film now and we are bonding through skating and we have our own thing we can share together, she asks me if we can go skate now and it is awesome. Thank God for skateboarding 🙏
Dope. I quit skateboarding to run the streets many years ago. Thankfully I left before I got sent to prison. Now I’m back skateboarding, surfing, skim boarding, doing everything I can to stay active and I love it.
I met Fabian at Slam City Jam 1999ish. What a true professional & a genuinely loving and caring man. Fabian gave me the illest all black fourstar jeans. Much love and respect. One day at a time Fabian 🙏 ❤

Fabian Alomar was literally saved by skateboarding. How has skateboarding saved or changed YOUR life? 👇
It helped me cope with autism and loneliness and not killing myself in my early 20s.
I'm 39 and just getting into it. But it's getting me out of the house and keeping me sane.
Getting back into it helped me realise how capable I am. Definitely saved my life.

Fabian doing a Tre after 7 years of hard time was honestly spiritual to watch. what an incredible story. Alomar Forever

That Tre was hella nice too.
