    There are some important things to get right before increasing the resolution of your cameras, in this video we consider what they are.

    Another quick video, this time covering CCTV camera resolution. Many think resolution is the holy grail to good CCTV. We are going to be slightly controversial and say that camera resolution might not be the most important thing to concentrate on.

    I record with a built in camera in 320x240 for surveillance and it seems to work fine I record up to 8 hrs with an output of a file of about 900 Megs, All this 1080 cams recording at 30 fps seems overkill imo. The question is can this HD cameras the res. be lowered ? to get smaller and easier to handle file sizes.

    Was not exactly the best way of explaining the fact that the more data you have to process with the same capacity of computing power,through the same size of sensor, the worst the picture will be.
