- Did you know this existed in Siberia, Russia?! This is Ulan Ude, Buryatia. Just north of the border with #Mongolia - the beautiful region of #Buryatia is the home of Tibetan #Buddhism in #Russia! In this video we visit a Buddhist Datsan set high in the hills above #UlanUde called Rinoche Bagsha. This is one of the most incredible places we have ever been in all of our travels in Russia. As well as exploring this incredible temple we also eat our way through more local Buryatian food.

It was so beautiful, hard to capture on the camera but it is perched high up on a hill over the city and all you can hear is the sound of the breeze! 😊❤️

Hiya! You got my head spinning with this one…I can’t remember at all!
But, I’ll tell you what my gran does. Washes the fruit, wait for it to dry on a kitchen towel (so their is no extra water). Then chops the fruit and covers it with sugar, leaves it overnight so the natural juices come out. Then she puts it on the heat, let’s it get to the boiling point. Takes it off the heat, leaves it to cool and repeats the same process three times. Then, when the jam is still super hot (have to be careful here), pours it into sterilised jars and that’s it 😊
