Built an A-frame survival shelter, used spruce branches for extra isolation from the cold ground as the temperature dropped -6°/-7° C (21°/19° F) at night. Also it helped to level the ground for better comfort.

"Feeling cold? build a shelter".. and build a fire, and have a sleeping bag and a tarp to put on that shelter...
^^
It’s almost like while going out into the woods you should have a least some basic gear with you. Maybe not a full ass tent tarp, but a knife and a spare jacket or something at least.
@@Valscorn01 Yeah mindblowing lmao
@@Valscorn01 Fr. But even tarp isn’t that crazy. Tarp is an extremely versatile tool that everybody should be carrying in their survivalist rucksack. It’s easy to carry if you know how to fold - it’s much different than a tent, a tent is just extra things to carry that only has one purpose. The military uses tarp when out in the field. I mean if you’d rather sleep on mud and rely on grass to protect you from rain, then you do you ig.
You see that stuff on the ground? White in color? That's called SNOW.
If you go outdoors during a season that's cold enough to SNOW, you'll probably bring more than a bag of cheetos and a spare Xbox controller. Touch grass.
"If you can't tie a knot ; tie a lot" 😂
IKR? You could build 12 shelters with all that cord..
How I love snow. How I love such an atmosphere. I am from southern Iraq and it is hot here. I wish I could touch the snow
There should be snow sometimes in the northern Iraq, in the mountains? Hope you can travel somewhere where there is snow! ;)
@@wildestbushcraft 🙏🏻💔😔It is true that there is snow in northern Iraq, but my husband does not travel with me, and he does not allow me to travel, and financial circumstances do not allow it. It was just a simple wish from my wishes, praise be to God for everything
@@user-pn8ef6oc1e 👍
@user-pn8ef6oc1e i hope snow randomly comes to you, in the next winter season!
You chop wood so fast.
Well done!
Your knots need some practice though!
Thanks! Yeah, didn't want to cut my paracord so wrapped it all up :)
Survive skill keep it coming.
Thanks, will do!

Nah that lash job was hot garbage
@@ObservationofLimits 😂 i was looking for this comment lol thanks you made my day.
Nah it's better to befriend a vegan for apocalypse, they taste better
Not. 😂😂😂
Yeah so that way when Walmart closes this guy dies and you can take his blanket and tarp.
How come it's always nice and sunny when you are making a survival shelter. Can you do it in the dark in the rain?
Last winter was quite nice, no rain etc. I will try to pick some nasty weather next time ;)

Don't forget the blankets you packed for the trip though! Lol.
I always carry two hot water bottles and a electric kettle attached to a generator...
why not just carry a small tent?

¡Muchas gracias por el apoyo! 😉

Great. Now show us how you made the air mattress out of natural materials.
The air matress fruit tree oc. Best harvested in winter
If you go in to the woods unprepared, thats on you. If you need to make bedding, pile up pine bows at least as high as your knee. My favourite bedding material are ferns.
If its warm enough for ferns you can sleep right on the ground.@@garfoonga1
Are you in an apocalyptic alternate timeline?
When i feel cold I just go home and sit near the fireplace
😁👍
Warm up while you build it!
Yep, it's doubly useful activity.
@@wildestbushcraft I love Bushcraft so much! Brings me back to camping trips as a kid with my Paps
Plowpoint makes for a better cold weather shelter in my experience although an A-frame is quicker snd easier to set up if your new.
Yep, could be. Although this one was also very warm to sleep in 👍
Super cool. I've subscribed.
Thank you!!

Where is this ? It’s quite beautiful
I agree, it's beautiful 😉 These are Estonian forests.
Feeling cold? Build an A frame shelter! You will warm right up with all of the work and moving around!
😀👌
Have fun rolling up that sleeping mat ( it’s actually painful)
Yes, some of them aren't very comfortable to roll up - or do you mean spruce branches? 😂
@@wildestbushcraft nah i mean the rollup sleeping mat
@@ewa8723 Ah okay, those are also tricky to roll up :)

Such a sharp axe
Yep it's a good one, really easy to sharpen it.
the binding with the paracord is very impressive
Sarcasm? 😂
@@wildestbushcraft ☺ you got me
beautiful axe
Thanks! :)
Plenty of cord holding the limbs together…..
Don't cut it, use it 😄
Yes, I'm trying to avoid cutting it if possible ;)
And this 37 meters of line 😉
You mean the rope? I don't wanna cut it, so I'm using it as a "whole" :D
The best thing I have seen in this clip is a bed of pine needles and branches.
I ran away from home as a child in the winter and slept under a big pine tree. The pine needles under the tree was so thick it made the perfect bed and branches around the tree was like the perfect tent. I survived the night,. It was still as a little cool, but there is no place like home. Yeah I went back.
However years later i showed this technique to my Boy Scout troop, and I was proud, thinking I was the one who invented something that primitive men were probably doing for thousands of years.
Yeah spruce/pine branches are very good for isolating yourself from the cold ground. Specially good is very thick layer of pine needles as in your experience, glad you had wits to use such place for sleeping as a child ;)
Your ancient instincts bade a night of rest upon our forefathers' oldest bed
@@danklegosi6084 👍👍
Nice ground bed! Keep the dirt from sucking your soul out!
Thanks! That was the general idea :D
If you don't want to jump on your posts, you can use the back of your axe like a hammer
Yeah, that's one option. However the axe is quite light so sometimes it's easier to use your own weight.
thats great bro,,i also started to know how bushcraft survival shelter build
Thanks!
Bro on my life they are making this look way to easy
We all have to learn someway.
Biggest lesson I've gathered, if you can't tie a knot, tie a lot...
Glad someone else saw that! Atrocious knotwork.
Currently homeless in Paris bro, did the same, and longer feeling like one
👍
Hope you find a way out of your situation Goodluck.

I love how every survival video just has string like where are you gonna find that in the woods💀
Thanks ! i've been stuck in the forest for 3 hours straight and couldnt find any shelter so i go to yt and saw this vid
When you get iron on the 1st night
This was very satisfying. Thank you for the upload.
This is soooo cool I want to do this soon badly
Being outdoors, lern some simple lashings. With half of the rope you could build twice stronger...
Didn't want to cut my paracord so decided to wrap it all, I must admit that doesn't look very elegant 😁😁
You can make A frame tents with literal just some cord and tensile strength. This was a whole lotta extra.
👍👍
Rule number 1 use 25 feet of paracord to tie your A frame corner cause everyone carrys paracord with them.
Most outdoorsmen do carry paracord or some type of cordage
Umm… Why didn’t you just use the existing tree? 😂
Using living trees to support your shelter is a very bad idea. The wind picks up, the tree sways, and your shelter will break apart. Then theres deadfall hazards and the bugs that live in the tree.
When I am feeling cold, I simply turn up the heat and grab a blanket!
Here's a challenge. Build a shelter with what you have available on the forest floor Instead of needlessly cutting down young trees to get views on UA-cam
In some countries the forest is just sports equipment.
Awesome!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
I should start during the summer so it'll be ready by winter 🙄.
😂👍
Great video this teaches well!
Feeling cold? Build a shelter that won't keep you warm
Love when you're in an apocalypse and you head to the woods and you conveniently have a high quality axe, rope, clothes and nails.
... nobody is talking about the apocalypse.... Cavemen carried fire starter and bedding with them on travels. If you lost the level of common sense cavemen had, then youre beyond help
By the time he's finished he's warm from moving so much
❤❤❤
You have to build the shelter before you feel cold.🙂
You got that right! But sometimes when you finish building it you will feel very warm again 😀
Yay, all that work sure will warm you up ! ! ! I'm lazy, I'd just go home 🏡
🙂😎👍
😁

Zombie Apocalypse: *happens*
Survival People: "It's my time to shine."
Illegal hunters: "Same."
bro used 50 feet of paracord on the top of the frame just use a canadian jam knot (Arbour Knot)
Yeah, just have all the stuff you need for that and y good xD
Nice shelter but the lashing on the frame looks very poor.
A timber hitch and lashing in a X pattern will make the structure safer and stabler
I won't argue here, I worked okay but the X pattern would have worked better and also looked nicer :)
Phwoar dat axe is SHARP
I’d think you’d want like 3 times that amount of pine boughs for your bed
Yep, more is better. However I just wanted to isolate myself and my gear from the snow, I used also sleeping pad+mat. Without those I would have used a lot more.
It’s weird cause this is something I’ve always dreamed of doing but I’m too afraid I would die out there
Might try it on my channel tho🤔
Do your research + find an competent instructor and you'll be fine 😉
Imagine how the forests of the whole world would look like, if only a half of the UA-camrs would but in practice these "destroy a lot for a one night stand, repeat it in the coming nights in other places".
Bring him.here
I'm gonna sleep next to the fire.....you can have the bag and tent.
😂👍
👍👍
Nice and cozy.
👍😉
Wouldn't it be easier to carry a tent, than all those tools?
Yeah, with tent it's always easier but not as interesting :)
Amazing video
The thermostat in my home isn't working so I'm going to make one of these indoors
That lashing knot hurt me deeply. Please do not do that again.
😂👍
Great effort! Great video! May I ask if you have considered a lower lean too facing the fire with a Mylar blanket, (key in cold weather for me) might provide a better resource and use of your energy.
Again great video! Critics should try it doing this themselves or shut their mouth. Just saying...
Thank you for the support!
I haven't tried it but I will someday. Usually I have plenty of time so I'll go for a labor intensive option :D
A frame is much warmer than lean too
Naw I’m too lazy
