Dave,I’ve seen Steve Smith do a clinic in the exact same concept.
As your a fan of New Breed if you read 1 2 3A/B (or Chuck Kerrigans book)and turn every figure into a flam followed by the same hand and singles as the joiners you get a lot more variations instead of just randomly switching from stickings plus the students learn to read and understand phrasing and not numbers.
I’ve done a video on this but taking it a bit further and flattening out the flams. Check it out !
