As the brother of one of the deceased, a relative of one of the paramedics who work on and transported some of the players and a healthcare professional myself, I'd like to thank all who were involved in the process of taking care of the young men my brother (Assistant Coach Mark Cross) loved and cared about so much. In this whirl wind of devastation, I heard great things about all medical staff involved. I'm very proud of all of you. I'm very sorry you had to witness "our" worst nightmare, but am thankful for you all.
M. Cross I am so sorry for your loss. There are really no words I can find to express my sadness for you and your family. Please know there are people all over the world sending prayers & thoughts your and your family's way. I honestly wish there was something I can do to help you; All I can think of is praying and thinking for all of you. Please try to take care of yourself, the best you can.
As the father of a 12 year old who plays soccer on a travelling team, our hearts are heavy and tears a plenty in North Carolina. While it's of little help or consequence, just know that so many of us everywhere, in every corner of America and the world are with you in spirit, in mourning and in loss.
Trauma and Mass Casualty has advanced so much in last few decades. Thank you all who helped, and please take care of yourselves, don't forget the toll it can take on all.
Im a complex care nurse. I just got off from 12hr shift then watching this while im eating. I cnt swallow the food. This makes me cry so much. I felt the compassion of the health care providers.
Damn I’m legit crying 😭😭 this video was a awesome tribute. My thoughts and prayers go out to anyone that know people or that was involved in this crash 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Many thanks to you, and all the other medical professionals, paramedics, nurses, everyone involved to help with this tragedy. You all did the best you could, and thank you for helping the ones who have pulled through to this day. Lets hope that this tragic night will not be topped by other tragedy.
I'm so sorry for your loss😢 My sincere condolences to you and your family. And to all the families who lost loved ones. You all are in my thoughts and prayers...Baltimore Md.
No words can ever express my admiration for those locked into Code Orange events . They are among the many , many thousands of fellow Canadians who see a challenge and have the guts to do what must be done to come and help , no matter what it means to their personal risk .
Don’t take it too personally. Could have been a mistake, or a sad or upset reaction. Thumbing up seems weird too... there are definitely some horrible and insensitive people out there but it’s hard to reason things like that. You just don’t know... not something you can understand.
I was just in the Humboldt hospital in February 2018 to get my eyebrow stitched after the Bullet for my Valentine, Breaking Benjamin, and Avenged Sevenfold concert in Saskatoon. Everyone, from the admitting staff to the nurses to the doctor, was excellent. It was easily the best experience that I've had with a healthcare facility. One could accuse this Doctor Masri of simple self-promotion of him and his staff, but in my experience the staff there really was extraordinary.
I did, but there was a lot of dialogue in this video that was unintelligible in my playback, so I may have missed that. I thought that Doctor Masri was in Humboldt. If not, my mistake; my point still stands that my experience at the Humboldt hospital was excellent.
Crazy hearing about code orange, I was a student on my last day in practicum and we had a code orange go out, it was thankfully cancelled did really wonder about the networking of different departments crazy.
This is a tragedy! This is worse than any terrorist act imagineable! How does this happen? My heart felt sympathy goes out to all the family members and those involved. This is a great loss hitting the heart of our country! I am saddened!
heaven has gained 16 angels, those that gained wings are now watching over the remaining as they revoker - both mentally & physically. when it hits home, it hits home. #humboldtstrong
Great job Dr and I loved your answers ........How Can you ask the state of the Families.......Unreal listen to your first question he said he is a ICU Doctor not ER
Gurnoor Ghuman I think some people confuse thumbs down for a reaction like on Facebook where Thumbs up= happy, thumbs down= sad. I don’t think it’s a reflection on humanity. Like John Roscoe said, the audio was bad, not the story. It does feel weird to “Like” a video about tragedy.
Can anyone explain why "Hack3r N4ti0n" (at the bottom of Comments) and "M. Cross" (at the top) have the exact same comments about being related to one of the victims? Seems very odd to me.
The donations will flow, the ceremonies will be had. The anniversaries will come. Nothing will change. We will all continue with our empty empathy and false respect for one another. Wake up people! It's time to treat each other better in all times. Not just emotional times of tragedy.
So the company is called Adesh Deoi Trucking Co. And they had 2 drivers. And the driver of the semi was 21. Just hired. The Humboldt bus was on a highway. Going normal highway speed 100 km'h. What giving hearts you all have. I can't believe that you would be able to do this interview the day after. Thank you and all involved. 💖
This guy is the most emotionally strong, incredible, this guys calling was to be a doctor.
Im a complex care nurse. I just got off from 12hr shift then watching this while im eating. I cnt swallow the food. This makes me cry so much. I felt the compassion of the health care providers.

How to turn a hospital into a trauma centre 101.
- Have good staff
- Have good training
- Be prepared.
What these guys did saved lives.
What a horrific accident. I am so sorry for all of the families that were affected. :'(
No words can ever express my admiration for those locked into Code Orange events . They are among the many , many thousands of fellow

Don’t take it too personally. Could have been a mistake, or a sad or upset reaction. Thumbing up seems weird too... there are definitely some horrible and insensitive people out there but it’s hard to reason things like that. You just don’t know... not something you can understand.

John Roscoe Is it really necessary for you to comment on this as something important?
I’m so sorry

Nirvana7734 this doctor works in Saskatoon and not Humboldt. Did you even watch the video?
I did, but there was a lot of dialogue in this video that was unintelligible in my playback, so I may have missed that. I thought that Doctor Masri was in Humboldt. If not, my mistake; my point still stands that my experience at the Humboldt hospital was excellent.
Humbolt doesn't even have a hospital bud
Sure does! It also has a "d": Humboldt. Perhaps you are doing a Google maps search of the wrong community.
Amazing doc!!!
That was very sad
Crazy hearing about code orange, I was a student on my last day in practicum and we had a code orange go out, it was thankfully cancelled did really wonder about the networking of different departments crazy.

The worst thing that has happened in OUR community (the hockey community) since Lokomotiv (in my mind). RIP to my brothers :(

Do 17 people not have a heart why would you thumbs down something like this
Gurnoor Ghuman
Why do you care?
I disliked the audio quality of the interviewer
Gurnoor Ghuman I think some people confuse thumbs down for a reaction like on Facebook where Thumbs up= happy, thumbs down= sad. I don’t think it’s a reflection on humanity.

Wtf Mike
You have a right to your own opinion, but do not speak for anyone BUT YOURSELF.
Hello global news whats up with the audio?
That crush
So the company is called Adesh Deoi Trucking Co. And they had 2 drivers. And the driver of the semi was 21.

The trees really didn't affect anything.
Ruined a good interview by not having the reporter put on a mic.
Their were five that survived
Can't hear. Sound to low.
LORETTA RIVERS i concur. The volume on this is so low. I would love to hear the full interview.
Its such a tragic event.
oh he speaks English from truck drivers to doctors.why is he even on here talking it will turn out to be a circus .with media.feel bad for the family's a Syrian doctor.good god
cathy9160 racism is the biggest problem ever and to put that comment on this video is terrible
I truely can't believe that amid of this tragdy you actually found the time and the guts to write such a racisit comment. Shame on you !
What is up with the bird nest on top of his head?
Rachel Pollock You are an asshat for pointing that out
Rachel Pollock the stress of seeing dieing people and trying to save their lives on a daily basis tends to be stressful. Which leads to hairloss.
