      Either that or get a plant!
      Parrots, and animals in general don't exist purely for our enjoyment. If you get a pet, especially a parrot, you must have its needs first in mind and give it attention.

      Mind if I expand on that?
      If you wanna buy some fish because it's beautiful to look at
      Buy a poster instead;
      If you wanna buy a bird to listen to it singing in a cage
      Listen to recordings online;
      If you wanna buy a cat because you're lonely
      Call over a friend;
      If you wanna buy a dog, so people can see you going for walks
      Walk a friend's dog;
      Basically, befriend people, and let animals live their natural life.
      🙂

      The worst treatment are the chickens in poultry farms. They are confined in tight spaces not having the ability to move. Majority never had seen daylight or never seen the outside world in their lifetime. Whenever you see chicken meat in the grocery or at fried chicken restaurants, think of what that chicken you are eating had gone through.

    She is absolutely stunning! My boy is 39 years old, I've had him since he was 11 months. He was captured wild in South America as a youngster and at the time I had no idea of what that meant or what he went thru. Since then I have done all I possibly could to expose the horrors of that, now illegal, trade. He has never been caged, although there were times he probably should have. His name is Hawkeye. He had a stroke not long ago and his vet know just what to do. This video shows the beauty of people that understand life and living, for all creatures of this world! She was finally given back her dignity! It is so beautiful to witness how she literally "woke up" from her stasis. She was meant to fly...I will never understand how people can still keep these beautiful creatures locked up in small cages. I thought we had evolved past that long ago 🥺.

    Увидела как ваша птичка склоняет голову за почесушками и заплакала, не смогоа сдержаться...вспомнила мою кореллу Кешечку. Ее уже нет больше года. Попугайчихи очень милые создания, хоть с характером, но в то же время очень ласковые.

    There’s an issue with people trapping these where I used to live. Miami has flocks of various species of parrots, the blue macaw being one of the most common, especially in South Miami and the hammocks/old cutler. People still trap them for pets here because despite being technically wild, they’re not as afraid of humans and anything having to do with them as they would be in their natural habitat. I’m glad this one found people who wants it to actually be a parrot.

    I had a one-eyed macaw just Iike this once. I wouId Ieave it outside on nice days to cIimb the mimosa tree in my back yard. I'd Ieave food and water at the base of the tree and when I got home from work it wouId come down. We wouId then go inside where my IittIe dog wouId pIay with it untiI it was time to cIimb up the stairs and go to bed in its ceiIing to fIoor cage that I buiIt in my bedroom. I had to move out of the country so the bird went to a friend's sanctuary with tons of other macaws. What a IoveIy animaI! 💞

    I loved this story! I'm so happy she can fly and move around the house freely. We had a parrot when I was a child and he lived for 38 years and had a great life. He walked around the entire house and was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, the people who had him before us clipped his wings. 😠

    I love this so much. When I got together with my boyfriend, his ex wife had a blue fronted amazon, whom she hated, that had been handed down through her family. She had been kept in a cage her whole life we are assuming which at that point was approximately 40 to 45 years. She couldn't even be handled without massively tearing into someone. When his ex moved out, we acquired the bird, Echo was her name. Within one day of his ex moving out, we had her out of her cage and she was interacting with just about everyone. After some time she really took to me, maybe it was all the shopping trips I took her on or building a perch so she could sit outside when I gardened lol. We eventually got her to fly, but she would only fly to me. She was my baby, got her on a better diet, taught her to fly and just had alot of time out of the cage. Unfortunately she passed away last April. I held her as she slipped away. It was so heartbreaking! But at least I know, for all the time she spent in that cage, the last 3 years were filled with love and life and a lot of new experiences for her. Still miss her terribly, she was the only one I could have somewhat reasonable chats with lol!

    Thank goodness she came to this home. Poor little being just stuck in a cage for so long that she didn’t even know what it was to have wings. That says so much about the horror that animals sometimes endure at the hands of humans. It’s like doing the same to a toddler absolutely heart breaking. I’m so glad she found her way to a loving home and to see that this love and support finally brought her nature and spirit back to her x

      Yep. What goes around, comes around. (Universal Law) We co-create our own heaven or hell on Earth by our individual choices of behavior. Humanity has lost it's way bc we've been programmed to believe in moral relativism. Do No Harm is profoundly simple.

    What i like to see is not only this beautiful parrot can finally fly. But the previous owner had no malicious intent. He was just a bad owner. The parrot is fully feathered, and isn't scare of human. It just never had the chance to open his wing, caged, 24/24.
