Today I tested this small MPPT eSmart3 charger, a product made in China, which costs $150 with free shipping worldwide.
I mounted it on a 5 kWh Tesla Model S Li-Ion battery, I passed the conductor that supplies the battery through a SHUNT type battery monitor from Victron Energy and I connected 6 photovoltaic panels, 3 in series and then the series in parallel. In this way we got a little over 100v and 20A, enough energy because anyway on a 24V system this charger can not charge more than 1050W.
All the elements being connected, I started them and started the test.
I watched to see if what was displayed on the LCD screen on the Smart3 solar charger corresponded to reality, so I compared the energy that passed through the shunt and went into the battery, and the data correspond.
The device displays this information correctly, so it is much higher than other devices we tested. Follow the information on the label and deliver the promised 40A for charging.
During the test the charger turned out to be quite noisy due to the fan that starts as soon as it heats up, but it is an acceptable noise, the device costs $150 with shipping included, worldwide, so you can't have them all in $150, right?
My conclusion is that if you are at the beginning of the road in photovoltaics, it is a good device, a device that offers everything that promises on the label. It remains to be seen how it will behave over time!

My brother what is the settings to charge lithium battery's thanks for sharing
This product awaylable in pakistan
@thecstechvideos, are you still using this eSmart MPPT SCC ? Is it working fine ? Can we limit the charging current in this SCC (e.g. set charging current to 25A instead of 40A) ?
Not using anymore, we move to Victron :)
HI! Thanks for the info. The connector that go to batteries handle the 40A ok? Are they too small?
in my test was cold..
Salut
Cred ca faci referinta la Watts cand spui "x Volts"
Inca putin si ti-am vazut toate video de pe canal.
