Out of all the toy reviews, I watch you are the master of dioramas.

    good review bro
like I said before, these need re enforcements on long term, humidity will bend them otherwise...
it s thin layered cardboard, weak, I know with experience, ha, ha
just glue a few pieces of double layered cardboard at strategic points, and you ll be good
and then you ll be able to throw figs on walls, and furniture around, D
otherwise, yeah, it s quite flimsy....
what s really good for me in your dio videos are the main plans you show, to cut my pieces
it s not intuitive to plan tabs in your construction when you do that, but they re pros, so I save time and cardboard
their techniques are minimalist, but I can make the sets stronger by making more tabs
1 rst thin layered, and adding double to re enforce for solid action sturdiness, D
6.30 a good trick I found to reshape cardboard pieces is to spray water very lightly to help bend the cardboard,
THEN, place heavy objects to force it to stay flat and straight, I had to do that with my dio floor
leave it resting for the night, and drying, in the morning, it will be good as new!
and... just a mist of water, or it will balloon and make bumps...
oh, don t spray on the printed side, or it might damage the look!
humidity affects cardboard, often badly, but with a proper technique, it will shape it as you want, rounded, folded, ect.
I love cardboard, and it s free if you know where to get it, same for foam pieces.
7.40 ah man! you need to glue this for sure, missing tabs will make this totally useless
figs already are tough to pose as they are... this... will be frustrating bro
the white pieces are supposed to support, but it s still too thin to do it properly
it might work with 3's as they re light, but 6's... mmm, I have doubts.
the stair base should have been double layer, the steps are ok as thin I guess, but this... I d re enforce to be sure
and... I really think these are meant to be glued to make it more durable
once the box wraps around, it looks pretty neat! nice
14.55 the final look is inspiring, but not all that great, it still needs design work a little more
15.35, pfff, I hope it s cheap, cause the results I see look like a $10 dio to me, and that s Can $$$
really, this needs more work on your part to make it respectable
it s worth it, as dios are so cool, but as is... it needs a little more love and finishing touches
17.32 I really don t like that the upper section is smaller.... it looks silly to me, not realistic
I think I d try to buy another section that fits tight and aligns with the bottom part
yeah, they don t hold up to scrutiny when you re close, it s background material, to hide open spaces that d let viewers see the studio
unless... you re willing to finish it properly with more cardboard and glue it all firmly
not a big job, but they don t tell you that, D
21.33 see? this is where the isolation foams come into play, to make sidewalks, 1/2 inch thick
then, you paint double layer cardboard for the streets, and you re set!
I asked neighbours to give me their empty pill bottles, some are the right size for garbage cans, just paint them silver,
a luck that they come with a grip to open that acts just as a handle on a real trashcan
I did nt trace lines on them yet, as this would give them the classic look, and they already look... cha ba duo
it s surprising how little containers look once painted, pill bottles, but also dollar store packs of them
they mostly come as clears - transparent, so mindbender will be happy, I m sure hands, heads, and build a figure parts fits, D
yeah, I think they work better alone, like, not stacked together myself
and it gives more roof space to place figs
I imagine that the bigger version can t fit on top of the smaller part... or you d need to do an extra floor underneath?
cause that might look even better
23.32 this looks more like an alley, not a street, it should allow 2 cars...
and the sidewalk should allow 2 - 3 persons walking on it
when you re used to build city scenes like Lego, it flashes bright to you,
but it s so satisfying to get it right, then you add street lights, trash cans, fire hydrants, news stands, ect
24.35 the warehouse has to be my fav, it looks quite nice and realistic
it just needs a delivery truck to unload illegal weapons, D
25.58 ahhh! equal size buildings stacked together look fab!
if you finally add sidewalks and a few streets, it will be just fantastic! wow
legends look small, it gives a good idea of how big and accurate the scale is, nice
euh, you mean $75 US? ouh, my dio looks light years ahead of those for... $35 US?
including all cardboard, foam, accessories, paint, and enough spare to make furniture too
it s more work, but you should get a much better dio overall
storage, you can stack em up to the ceiling, it must look amazing to see buildings that tall, D
    so now you know...
    good show bro

@@dHuntersReviews ok, I think that to fully enjoy those, you d need to get into the trouble to actually get to buy foam and do sidewalks, if you only knew the power of the force! euh, the pleasure of putting figs - vehicles once you have the look your eyes accept as real. like your kitchen, but vehicle - fig action, I love it, got good with Lego city, expert level, and then I pushed further, lol, thanks D.

This looks cool. I’d have the buildings set up in different directions so they don’t look like twin buildings.

Your video was a godsend! ...Though i wish i'd have seen it BEFORE i tackled! 😅. Nevertheless, it made making this thing a breeze. I'm new to building... well, anything. And your review/instructions make me feel confident i could do r next one.

The roof is very complicated, but works if you do it right
      I’ve messed up a few
      Their instructions are so vague

I know it’s annoying but personally I think I would hot glue gun the creases with thick globs low temp just to get the sturdiness although if you do want to rip it off it might rip some of the cardboard not sure on these I’m interested in them bc I’ve been making mine

    • @dHuntersReviews
      @dHuntersReviews  Рік тому

      Definitely not gluing it
Might staple the interior of the roof
I want to be able to store stuff in the building
