Great idea with the 550 motor in this one, it seems to have a ton of torque! Speed seems nice, not crazy, but definitely enough for some good fun! Nice one!

I would not have thought that the Redcat crawler motor would do that type of speed in a vehicle. Great speed run on the Shen drag strip. 🤣🤣👍👍

Hi Steve, nice test dude! That Beetle is a beauty for sure! Runs good and fast enough with the new motor but it's probably the torque you will notice more when off road. Twitchy!!! 😁😁👍👍

Hey Steve, that looks fast enough for the Kyosho Bug. Mine is a bit quicker on brushless but it's a bit much to be honest. Nice vid 😁👍👍

Nice upgrade, so the speed of the Kyosho was at the cost of motor heat. 550 do run cooler and a little slower a good trade off.
Thanks it's actually much faster than with the tamiya silver can and torque tuned motors' that I been running in it. Much more power too!
After burning up a torque tuned and a stock silver can I went with a 550 21t Holmes hobbies motor in mine and it is a ripper now. It’ll keep up with the jegs stinger and doesn’t get hot

Hope this isn't a dumb question but I'll have to risk it. I'd like to get one of these but only if I can use the 2s shorty LiPO batteries that I already have. Do they fit in the bottom compartment without modifying the buggy?
Hi if they are the same dimensions as a long pack but just shorter they should fit but you will have to put some foam on each side so they don't slide around in the normal size battery slot. no ? is dumb if you never ask you won't ever learn. Thanks
