Best color scheme I’ve seen on the Kyosho Beatle. I just bought an airbrush myself and I’ve been apprehensive myself to try it. Thanks for putting yourself out there you did a great job brother!
Awesome! nice job, there's so much more scope with an airbrush. Don't be to worried about stuffing it up, if you mess up you can usually wash that paint off with hot soapy water and a sponge as long as you don't let it harden.
Yes I’m not really a fan of painting bodies either. While I’m going to start airbrushing, I do have some bodies on order to be custom painted by others. I also have other bodies that have been painted by others that I haven’t had a chance to showcase on the channel yet. Hopefully this will be my last order of bodies and I’ll start doing my own from now on.
Hey Thanks... I'm actually going to venture down the road of air brush again.... I have 2 bodies that I'm attempting this summer... something a little more complicated than this design.... hope they turn out well. Thanks again.
Thanks Craig. I hope all is well. Would you believe I still haven't gotten around to mounting my astute body you did for me. I keep getting side tracked. It is so awesome and I don't want to scratch it either. Be well.
Hi Ari, just found your first attempt of using the airbrush, very interesting and the wheels will definitely make a difference to look, for the better. Great looking beetle, looks absolutely beautiful, suits the car. Take care, keep well. 😊😉
You would never know that was your first time using the airbrush by looking at the buggy. It turned out really nice the paint scheme really pops . You should really be able to do some amazing stuff when you get some real time in using the airbrush.Great job .
Thanks. These beetle kits are on the harder side to find. At least over here in the States. The ones that I do see online, very few, are jacked up in price.
Very nice! I'm sure even the paint police (Harry) approves! I think the chrome wheels really pop, they match the shocks and the trailing arms, nice! Regarding those pinstripes, I totally made the same error on my Top Force, I had to put vinyl stickers to cover it up... That flexible lining tape is really difficult to work with. Looking forward to seeing that Beetle out in the dirt where it belongs!
Oooooooooooooooh my gosh Bro that is fricken sick. You nailed it on your first try with that air brush Bro. This is a Flawless Victory Man. The color yellow is my nemesis and I was biting my nails the whole time you were laying it down. Wow Man dropping it like it's hot. I am so close to getting a system like that to add to my customizing array. Dude you are a Pimp.
Thanks man. Yeah it is definitely tough but super happy with how it turned out. I"m sure I'll hit a few bumps and mistakes along the way but thats part of the learning curve.
In due time. This seemed pretty difficult to me lol.... I have to practice with fading.... Solid lines were challenging enough so imagine fading is pretty difficult and a lot of mistakes to be made.
The $10 single action airbrush from harbor freight is a great beginner brush. You go to dual action i use a master g 22 dual action airbrush off ebay great brush. Make sure you have ventilation .a regular dust mask you will be ok
Hello, very nice work !!!!! 😍😍😍 I have the same buggy, and I was wondering what to paint the driver with? For the body I have Tamiya ps paint cans. But for the driver, would the Tamiya mini x paint be enough? If not, which paint do you recommend? A friend can paint it with an airbrush but I would like to have the satisfaction of doing it alone Thank you for your answer
What's your opinion between the proline airbrush colours and tamiya spray cans in terms of economy, colour and actual painting? Your first paintjob turned out awesome 👌
with airbrush color you can customize the paint by adding a drop of black or two to make it darker. Airbrushig also allows you to go heavier in some areas with a color and lighter in others giving you a shade effect. Of course I can't do that at the moment lol... as I have to practice. Plus you can fade colors... Plus you have more control over the paint.... These are all things you can't do with spray cans.
Nice job Ari‼️That came out really good for your first airbrushed body 👍😎 I'm going to take the pludge soon with getting a airbrush too. Just don't know what will be first the airbrush or the home CNC machine?? 😄
I never apply liquad mask with a gun....i always brush it on....i do several coats it should dry like frosted glass like on a shower door. I never had a issue with it...just make sure cut where u wanna cut
I prefer airbrush, but the Proline airbrush paint for polycarbonate is terrible. You can easily scratch it off...I mean really easily. After it fully cures you can cover it with a Tamiya PS, but make sure it's fully cured or the PS paint will melt the base coat. Unfortunately I went back to Tamiya PS paint after a couple of bodies.
Yes I’m aware of that. I’m actually going to start to a paint up an OnRoad touring car body with proline pair and will back it with Tamiya paint. I agree with the quality not being so good but it’s what I have. Don’t want to go out and purchase more
It puts the comment on its page I know what you doing you are going to have a giveaway sir I know you are because that's the way right Gavin writes his veteran on the bottom and especially when he wants you to remember something and as I remember Steve the pirate is in Europe right now what's really going on Imma have to Google search the RC conspiracies monster truck like the Monster Mash LOL and my stuff sometime look like that but I started using a different tape I use the Scotch tape cuz I like to make a Scottish voice you hears me it looks good those colors contrast each other I like how you came up with the color scheme and then you put the silver in between genius and then you gave yourself credit man just give yourself a pat on the back I feel you on that one bro my boss actually helped me with work today I know I was surprised myself you know what they say the pen is mightier than the sword so I'ma take a crack at it look back at it bro I like your pirate shirt how you keep it fresh with the one button remind me of Seinfeld all you need is the Ruffles more like Peter Pan naked how you did the K on the side imma call you Special K got a lot of skills for the thrills I like it with the yellow wheels better you ordered satin so it makes it a little bit dull there you should just go with the yellow shiny Wheels number 4
Best color scheme I’ve seen on the Kyosho Beatle. I just bought an airbrush myself and I’ve been apprehensive myself to try it. Thanks for putting yourself out there you did a great job brother!
This turned out so much better than the box art version. Superb work!
Looks Great 😊 might give me the courage to finally explore airbrushing
Motivation!!!
1st time and that looks Amazing Mr. K.
Nice buggy looks awesome.
Great job.
Looks absolutely ace. Makes me think about my own airbrush kit 🤔
That’s an excellent looking Beetle. Would love to see her out running.
In due time... I'm working on another body for the beetle.
Awesome! nice job, there's so much more scope with an airbrush. Don't be to worried about stuffing it up, if you mess up you can usually wash that paint off with hot soapy water and a sponge as long as you don't let it harden.
You nailed that old Toyota Ironman Stewart paint scheme. I've done a couple of my cars that way but yours is off the chain man. Super cool!!!!
The chrome wheels an the pinstripes are awesome. I'm nervous to airbrush bodies that is why I buy them painted

Great video fella... Beetle looks fantastic too 👍
Turned out really nice, well done.
It's hard to put yourself out there. Great job!

Great job Ari. Love the wheels too.

The all time classic!

Thanks. These beetle kits are on the harder side to find. At least over here in the States. The ones that I do see online, very few, are jacked up in price.
@@RCRetro I'm in Idaho... bit I know where one is at the moment, for sale locally.... if I can just find the $$ for it before it is gone...

Sweet looking set up Ari, your custom body has turned out great.
Damn Ari that looks really good! You nailed it! Well done my friend 👏
Come on admit it! You have done this before 😉
Great stuff 👍
Cheers James.

Looks a million bucks.
Now you are on the next level, Ari. Great looking beetle buggy 👍. Will we see more difficult schemes?
In due time. This seemed pretty difficult to me lol.... I have to practice with fading.... Solid lines were challenging enough so imagine fading is pretty difficult and a lot of mistakes to be made.
@@RCRetro You have some bodies to practise, just try it. I believe in you.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll look into it. I wear a mask because I'm painting in my basement.

Use a hair dryer to dry coats in between
I did . I didn't show it on camera but I use one for airbrush and when spraying cans.

yeah I found it easier to brush it on the other beetle bodies I ordered fro TBG. Brush on is the way to go...

I cut my paint with a lil Windex
really? I just bought a few bottles of the proline "reducer"
I don't know if the silver Wheels look as good as the yellow ones do on it it's good but I like the yellow better on it.
yeah I do like the yellow and the chrome. I'm torn...
How much to do mine? (Not kidding) let me know.
theres only 1 beetle sry...but nice work
Please race this buggy. Are you going to answer me on this sorry or is Harry going to respond. Lol
It will eventually make an appearance.
