You don't play test matches against 12 year old. A test match is a 5 day game of International cricket. If there did happen to be a national test cricket team that all happened to be 12 year olds, then that would be deserved credit, because those 12 year olds would be absolute freaks.

I like Hayden but man lara was something else when it comes to test cricket. Even after getting his 400 I can remember he was not tired. And he was schooling the English team.
West Indies got thrashed in that series and it was already dead when he scored the 400. Lara had failed in every innings when it mattered. Not saying you’re wrong about how great Lara was, but that what we remember in cricket is often moments and individual achievements more than winning and losing, which is what we all claim to care about and what matters more.
