    About Steve-O:
    Steve-O (a.k.a. Stephen Glover) was willing to do whatever it took to become famous, even if it meant stapling his ball sack to his leg. After failing miserably at the University of Miami and couch-surfing with friends, he decided that in order to further his goal of becoming a stuntman he would enroll in Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Clown College. But it was his relentless attention whoring that ultimately led to working with Johnny Knoxville on a new stunt-based reality show called Jackass.
    In 2000, MTV aired the first season and the rest, as they say, is history. Since then, he's had continued success, as a New York Times best-selling author with the release of his memoir, 'Professional Idiot', as well as establishing himself in the world of stand-up comedy. With fourteen years of sobriety under his belt, Steve-O shows no signs of slowing down.

    Steve-O makes me feel like a normal person. He struggles in ways that I never thought that I could share with others. Hearing him open up about these concepts seems to make it seem not only possible, but like something that I really need to do in order to get better myself. Thank you, Steve.

      Exactly. I find it hard to open up to anyone and everyone in my life, specially my own family. Idk why i just bottle everything up. I logically know for a fact that my struggles have been lived through by others before me, but I still FEEL like a weirdo and never open up because of it.
      Humans like to think we live our lives logically. The truth is we really don't, we make most decisions on emotions and THEN try to logically justify those emotions and decisions.

    As a recovering and one-year sober alcoholic, this is powerful. The deep discontentment and “I’m not good enough”, feeling like a failure, having “to the grave” secrets, all this mirrors my story. I’m not completely healed but healING and that’s what counts for me.
    Even the tone he describes his past with I identify with heavily.

    • @sinfulhappiness
      @sinfulhappiness 3 місяці тому +1

      Been there. Congrats on 1 year. For real.
      Therapy is amazing for those "to the grave" secrets. That is the biggest springboard after 1 year of sobriety. Verbally dumping that luggage where you stand and then moving forward is a real mental reawakening. Light and loose to help focus on the future, with the scars, but the cause of the scars are way back in your life.
      Wish you luck! You can do it!❤
