I have a 2008 version 300C and its fantastic, one thing you cannot dispute with this car and that it is a real headturner and it has road presence especially if you are behind it.

This car give approx 45 mpg and is a real head turner. I have blacked out the windows ( 30% all round "Legal" ) and had the wheels refurbished in black. When you are behind this car it gives off pure testosterone
I am in love with the 300s. They are the most beautiful cars on the planet. If you put another car next to it. The other car will look like a mutt caught in the rain. Have ever seen the braking it is almost instant.
I was actually thinking about getting one of these recently. Im doing a lot of motorway miles lately and a 300C diesel would be a good motorway wafter with reasonable mpg.

brilliant car,i watched this video and it did help my decision to buy one=i am amazed with the power and the pure pleasure in driving it...its fantastic on fuel ,i bought it for towing my very large and heavy twin axle caravan and i is a beast of a car....im soooo happy
Be prepared to replace the oil cooler seal, and you can thank MB for being cheapskates that cost owners big money if you have to pay a mechanic to do it, since it's buried in the middle of the v. I believe it involves removing the turbo and intake manifolds.
My father in law has one, I got to drive it for a week it's like driving a boat and it's sooo smooth and deffo has the power to match even for a car this heavy
The 2008 facelift model is a better car, especially the SRT Design, the interior is far superior. You can modify the hell out of the Merc V6 too, to the point of nearly doubling the power :)

When you pull up a W210 e class and this 300C up in the air you cant notice the difference, heck if you got with a 2.7 and 3.2l diesels you'll get the engine from Mercedes Benz, this is why this car is so popular in europe, W210 mechanical parts are quite cheap and available in taiwan copys, so you can fix your car for quite cheap Same think is the Firebird, look at the W208, they are exactly the same, the 1.8L petrol engine is used in both cars, as well as the 4.2 V8

Sorry to disappoint you but the Brabus (Startech) tune is only 262bhp and a source of constant grief. Ditch the box and get a remap. you won't regret it. I don't!
The only thing Brabus is the startech tuning box so if you've ditched that and had it remapped instead, there's nothing else Brabus on the car. I've got an SRT Design with stormtech remap, uprated intercooler, hybrid turbo and uprated injectors. You can do a lot with the Merc v6
I planned to buy a 300c about a year ago. I showed a friend of mine some photos of one I was going to look at. First thing he said was... "How can you afford that!". I didn't bother telling him it was only up for sale for £5000. So yeh... get one of these and make your friends think you're rich ;)
almost every 300C I seen In Ireland has a Bentley badge I actually thought It was from factory like European spec or something. that's very disappointing.
+MrVataga they start at about £5,000. I think they're nice, the downfalls are: They're a bit of a boat on cornering and The seats don't hold you very well at all. Other than that I can't fault them.

Not just the W211 E class but also shared with the S class, ML, GL, G wagen etc etc etc.... the gearbox is even used in the SLR McLaren..
